Me too
Thank you so much again, it makes a big difference to me0 -

Having finally spent my Amazon vouchers on something frivolous yesterday, the kettle is now making a funny noise and looks to be on its last legs  Typical or what?! I'm going to get a value one from Tesco/Asda and hope that it lasts for a while until I can save enough points for a slightly nicer one!
I've started another new challenge on the food shopping front. It looks complicated, but I have high hopes that it will save me money in the long run. I'm going to quickly have a shower just now and do an inventory of my cupboard this morning (the stockpiling one only) so I can start today as I was going to go to Boots to see if the very cheap shampoo offer is still on0 -
How can it be that I updated my thread yesterday and it's already fallen off my front page of subscribed threads?!
NSD #2 has been recorded for the month and I am getting on well with the 2nd purse system now that I've got my head around how it works
I'm back on the Fat Club wagon again, and took my lunch to work with me so I had loads of healthy snacks today and drank gallons of water too. I went walking for 40 minutes at lunchtime with one of the girls in the office, and not only felt better for doing it but earned enough points for a Curly Wurly, which I have not eaten :A
It won't last....;)

Hi f_f
I just popped over to see where you are! It freaks me out when you're quiet
When I moved in October I bought the mega cheap kettle in Sainsburys and it's still going strong. It's plain, it's white but it can boil water!
I suppose I'd best check out your food shopping link and find yet another form of torture that has to be endured when in serious debt  I'm blaming you if it makes me cryOne step at a time0 -
Just had a quick look..I had to read it twice plus some of Mothership's posts...my head hurts :eek:One step at a time0

Evil surveys
Ipsos - 1165 points (1380 needed for £10 Amazon)
Mysurvey - 300 (550 needed for £5 Amazon)
Valued opinions - £2.75 (redeem at £10 for Amazon)
Swagbucks - 189 (849 needed for £5 Amazon)
I'm close to redeeming with two of them, so no more ignoring emails0 -
Hi all
flyin - i seem to remember some nice kettles in Mr M's really quite reduced - not sure if they'll have any now / up your way but may be worth a check?
Yes i read the 2nd purse thing a couple of times - the reason i'm not doing it now is: - i am so short of money i don't have the funds for the stockand i keep my shopping as low as possible - i have a rough budget for it (£35 a week) and any change just goes off the debt - i cannot afford to put it towards any of my *wants / needs*. When i'm in a better financial position then the 2nd purse thing sounds good for me
I do stock up on stuff when its on offer though - e.g still got loads of washing liquid from when it was on offer as things like this do help
How did you go on with your meal planning flying? I actually cracked this for the first time ever this year and all is going well so far :T And the huge bonus is it has made both deciding meals and shopping so much easier :T:T
If anyones interested the way i finally did it was: -
I [STRIKE]have[/STRIKE] had a freezer of doom - it was so crammed full neither me or my Mr wanted to venture inside. :eek:I finally decided enough was enough and took all the drawers out and reorganised it all :A But as i did i actually wrote an inventory of what was in there so i knew where to find what i needed. e.g Drawer 1: stewing steak, roast chicken, joint of chicken etc. Once i'd done this i thoought i might as well work out meals (for as long as possible) with the food we have :T So wrote out the days and went through the list of food putting a mark at the side of each one as it was allocated to a days meal  I also went through my tinned, jars and packets of food - as we'll often have something like a tuna pasta etc. that doesn't involve freezer stuff.
Now when i need to cook something i check my planner - lift out the appropriate item which is easy to locate and cross it off the list of food. Before i do my weekly shop i check my meal planner and see what we're eating and if i need to buy anything e.g got beef for stew but need to buy veg (fresh) and dumplingsMy meal planner lasts until about April :j:j:j (yes, i've got that much food in) but if i see something on offer - such as some salmon yesterday which was about half price and i've got a sauce mix that needs to be used i just buy it and add it on to the list of where it is in the drawer and if it needs to be allocated to a day for a meal.
*phew* - i've possibly made that sound really complicated but it was only the sorting out of the freezer in the first place that was *mildly* hard work and this has made shopping so much easier and cheaper as i know what i *need*
Anyways it is friday so i hope everyone is well and has a nice weekend lined upCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000
