I spoke too soon - Bonnie wouldn't stop yapping for more food and it woke him up, so he went to the bathroom - now some of you will know that strong pain-killers can give you constipation I certainly know it  so he was sitting on the loo for about 5/10 minutes and came out nearly in tears as the pain down his leg was agony, so I got his ice pack and he had to sit with it for over half an hour before he could go to bed againBut he is asleep again
Hey ste
How long do these spells last for 3dogs?
My max is usually about a week glad to say.
We don't know as he has never been like this before. He's had lower back pain which can put him out of action for a day or a few days, and occassionally longer, but never been this bad beforeSciatica is so different from normal back pain - nerve pain is so intense isn't it?

Afternoon all - Alan slept much longer last night once he got back to bed, from about 10.30/11 pm till 8 am which is good, though very sore when he got up for his morning meds. After half hour ice pack, he got back to sleep until 12.30 am. He says the pain is slightly better when he got up to go to the bathroom this time
I rang the surgery to request a callback from the doc, to find that the doc has gone off sick today, so I have to try again tomorrowMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Luckily I got the Halogen Oven on a great offer on tv shopping and have eventually returned my old one, which broke down back in Sept/Oct, so a refund so that will almost cover the price I paid for the new one anyway, which is a super-duper larger version :j :j and with the balance from Mam's money and what we are getting from my brother, I have ordered the new HD Flip camera which was on a super duper reduced price on same shopping channel the next day. I haven't told Alan yet though, so that one will be a surprise on Christmas Day. I wanted to get something we needed, ie the oven, plus something as a treat, ie the Flip, from Mam, and not just let the money disappear in normal spending, which it normally does - so we had something special from herMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
