I love my Halogen, it does love jacket potatoe's,got mine 2 year's ago when my oven packed in, but did'nt want to get a new 1 'cause we had our name down for moving and did'nt know how big a gap we where going to get other place was so small a kitchen we had to buy a 50' cooker did you get the extenction ring with it?

We took our proper oven about 2 years ago when we got the halogen coz I was getting forgetfull and leaving things on to burn etc. Which one you got, if it has lasted 2 years? We had the 7 litre 1Deal w0rld one 2 years ago, it burnt out after 9 months, so got a refund and replacement in the december, and this one burnt out on October this year, so has been returned for refund, but ordered the new 11 litre one. We got these as they have the fold back attached lid so I don't burn myself as much :o and yes, we have the extension ring with all of them, but never used it so far. But hate being without it, I agree it does gorgeous kacket potatoes, chips, grills, veg, meat - everything. Do you bake in yours?

My parents got my son a halogen oven for a moving-in present. It is one of the big ones (12Ltrs I think). Cost £39.99 from Robert Dyas. My mum was so impressed she got him to go into town with my dad and buy another for her.

We now have her old one.

Been busy all week so not had a chance to pop-by.
Sorry to read that Alan is still suffering. I Know what sciatica is like. It is a trapped nerve and can come and go just like that. I would suggest to the Doctor that if it isn't better soon, then he should have a cortisone jab. This might take a week or two to fully-work, but the effects are amazing.

It's the 10 litre one from argos, pity it did'nt come with the ring and the lid stand, but got what I could afford at the time, and I do some baking, mainly pie's, but that's because you definatly need the extention ring to do thing's like cake's otherwise they burn

Wondered where you were Pat. Gonna ask the doc if I can talk to him tomorrow about an x-ray and/or cortisone injection as I'd heard that's what they give

I've been round to visit Linda she says thanks so much for sympathy card Steve, andy & Kit and then made the dinner - thai chicken curry & rice. Alan got up for that around 7 and is still up - the pain has eased a bit more, so that is good - still sitting on his ice pack though ;)
