Busy watching 'Super Scrimpers' on C4.

Loads of tips on making your own Irish Cream and other alcoholic drinks.

Me and Mrs P. went out for a meal with friends last night. £10 per head for starter, main + side and sundries.

    Recipe for Blackberry Liqure

    2Lb Blackberries
    1Lb sugar
    1Pint water
    1/2 bottle cheap vodka.

Heat blackberries in microwave until they start to release their juice, then add sugar and mash with potato masher.
Bring to the boil in the microwave, then leave to cool.
Once nearly cold, add the water to prevent it setting, then add 1.2 bottle of vodka.
    Sieve, then bottle.

    Works-out at about £2.50 a bottle.

That sounds very very nice - but could I leave it long enough to get stronger :o:o:o:o

Alan lasted from 7 till 9.30 watching the tv but gave up, had meds and went to bed then - he was going to try to have a shower and shave, but once he'd had his meds, no chance - he wouldn't have been able to stand up to shower :rotfl: :rotfl:

So a shower, shave and head shave is on the cards for tomorrow - I'm sure it will make him feel better, though the pain has started to ease somewhat :j :j

Glad to read the pain is easing. A bath or shower may well help him as well.

And a Happy Thursday to you too Beanie :D:D

Morning all - Alan had a much better night, sleeping right through and, when he got up for the loo about 7 am, he was delighted that the deep pain had gone leaving just the ache :D He got to sleep again and when he woke up at 10 am - the deep pain was back :( I pointed out that this was because he hadn't needed meds during the night so had been over 12 hours without them, so I made his breakfast, gave him his morning meds and am just about to give him some morph to settle him again. At least this is a good sign that he is almost through the worst and can see light at the end of the tunnel, as I was beginning to think the worst
