I just logged on to tell you all that Susan, Steve and Andy are going into the ward to see Alan now. They have cleared one of the lockups which is great news. And they have bought lots of chocolate which always helps.

Steve keeps offering to jump into bed with Alan. Alan gave a very funny reply:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hugs to all. :kisses3:

thanks for letting us know SW

Evening guys - sorry I am so late with my update but, after having some pizza when I got back, I have been sitting on the loo trying 'to go' for half an hour at a time, that's from 8.30 till now ..... and I still haven't been :( It's there, but won't come out :osorry if that is too much information. I have been neglecting my healthy eating, basing everything around bread, which is not good, and not had any veg and very little fruit ..... not like me at all :o

Steve and Andy got here at 12.45 ............. and I was still in bed, even though they'd said they'd be here by 1 pm :o:o A quick wash and got dressed, fed Molly and made her run around a bit, then put her in her cage and they took me down to the car boot, where we had bacon sarnies :j before starting on the units again. We'd got 75% of one unit done and got that one finished today - sorting everything into what will go into the auction and what I will take home, and threw out what was left. Stuart called around as we started and took away what we'd put aside as his yesterday

The lads are coming over about 11 am tomorrow, with their friend who they are staying with, and we are going to tackle the other unit

Anyway, when we'd done what we could, we went over to visit Alan and found him lying in bed, in his PJ's for the first time. He'd managed to have a shace this morning so he looked much better, but he is definitely a better colour now anyway. He'd been sitting in his chair for couple of hours in the morning again and had a little walk around the bay he is in. Still no appetite though, so eating little but he is drinking plenty

The doc told him this morning that he wants to check the bag on the drain for the fluids from the abcess before he can go home. The nurses are worried that his system is forcing his food/drink straight through him, far too quickly, so they put him on a drip while we were there, with a thick serum. I think this will have to be normalised too before he can be discharged but he has the weekend ahead so hopefully he will still be able to come come on Monday :D

Oh well, another trip to the loo for me .................

But I seem to have 'worked it' out so can go to bed now ;). On and off the loo since 8.30 pm, very painful, and in agony when I eventually 'went' :o

You have my sympothy about going to the loo, I have IBS so know how bad it can get, try having half a carton of apple/orange juice in one go, normal that help's me.

[Hugs] to you and Alan, and kisse's for the boy's for helping you out.

Good advice Aesop. I am going to log on regularly now to find out what is going on. I am so glad Steve and Andy are visiting Susan and Alan as they are so cheerful. My dad says all my MSE friends are wonderful and we are blessed to know them all. Susan pops says he is praying for you and so is mum.

Susan stick to your healthy breakfasts. They will help. The sun is out here I am going to nip to Town to get some food and then will do marking. I hope all the boys - four of them today will be able to make progress on the lockup so Alan doesn't have to stress.

PS Susan forgot to mention that she has a fantastic picture of Alan's toes - they painted pictures on them - he has the best looking feet i have ever seen. I will text Miche and Beanie and Aesop as ihave your mobile numbers. Good job he is married or we'd fall for him!!!!!

Off i pootle. Hugs, everyone have a good day. I am looking forward to seeing you all in Devon in the summer we are going to have the BEST holiday ever.

Just checking-in to see if there were any updates on Alan. Nice to read he may be home on Monday. I do hope the auction raises a nice bit of cash, then you two can put it towards a nice break away from it all (before Alan starts chemo). God knows, you both deserve a bit of 'us' time after what you have been through over the last couple of years.

Well it has been a very tiring but rewarding day. The boys got here 11 am and we called at Lidl before making a start on the 2nd storage unit. Their friend they are staying with came along later and helped too. The three of them took every single thing out of the unit, I sorted it into put on fire, skip, for home, for eBay, for auction and belonging to Stuart, who called round and took his stuff out of the way. After I'd sorted through the boxes, the lads put the auction stuff back in but at one side so I can get into the units, both of them, and right to the back to get stuff out. I am going to see a friend who has a much larger van to call and pick up some of the boxes, etc and put it into the auction for us. We can't put it into the auction all at once, or you flood the auction and it doesn't sell, so it will need a few trips to get it all down there and sold

When we had it all done, the lads and I went over to see Alan who is rather down at moment and just wants to get home. His stoma system is settling down a bit, though he is still on that drip to help. He wants me to call at the kennels again and ask them to rehome Bess too, as well as Billy :(:( as he says he won't be able to manage even her walks. I just don't know what to do for the best. I know I struggle to walk the dogs due to my arthritis, sciatica, etc, and he doesn't think he will be able to walk them at all. I think it is as much a case of him not wanting to leave me with the dogs to look after on my own, when I can't handle it :o:o

Anyway, as I was leaving, Alan said, through tears, "I don't know how I can ever thank them enough for what they've done" meaning the time, effort, and money, that Steve and Andy have spent these last three days to come all the way up here to help me sort out the units :o:o They truly are angels :A :A

:hello: SW, still waiting for pics of Alan's feet.... :rotfl:

wow, just read your post 3Dogs, was going to post and as I scrolled up I found SW had written what I was going to say.... spooky Twin..... :)

well I will say it too:

the boys love you and Alan, and of course they will do whatever they can to help. Apart from Steve jumping in bed with Alan :D

I just wish I could help. Unfortunately the best I can do is send you coupons. Sorry been in a bit of a funk, will try to put in post tomorrow.

Cleaned out DS' room today, and have sorted for some of his toys to be sold. I did speak to him about one set of cars and garage I had bought him a year ago, and said you don't really play with this anymore, let me sell it. First he said yes, then realised what I had said and said no. But I bagged it up and it will be sold.

I love watching him play with it, but more and more recently, he hasn't been. And we are trying to do more with him as a family, so he won't miss them for long. Especially when he has mummy pretending to be bus that needs repairing....:rotfl:
