Me too, boult, feel helpless down here.
But if we keep posting, that is a help
I hear good things about Nicky and have been looking at it, maybe will start buying it now. Got the Asda own brand, 9 rolls for £8.50, that has lasted for ages. Down to last 2 rolls and payday today... if they have remembered to pay us.....
Yes, DH was pleased about result too :rotfl:
Hope Alan can get out of hospital this week, if not today.
Hope you are not in too much pain today Susan. Shifting all that furniture, even if empty on your own is hard work.
Rather than throwing those clothes, try one of those "we buy your clothes" places, even if you get a £5 for it, better than nowt.0 -
Hello 3dogs
Hope you are eating properly and keeping your strength up for when your Alan comes home. The decision on Chemo is a hard one to make but medicine advances very quickly and my thought is that all the time Nick is still here with me they might just find the "cure".
The treatment just becomes part of your normality and you sound like you will be able to deal with whatever it chucks at you.
I am a very lazy poster but always pop in to see how you are doing, but I really do mean it when I say to ask anything, it is a huge change to your lives and it is good to get comments/reassurance/advice from someone who has been on the inside.
Kindest regards

Now why didn't I take any notice of the
second part of that quote!!???0 -

It really is a help to have this place to come and post what is happening and to have 'the gang' here to listen :Alol, member since may 2008, 197 posts
LOL yes, MandyLou, is certainly an 'occassional poster' so that makes her posts on here even more specialMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Alan rang to let me know that the doctor had said he was not ready to come home today, when he came on his rounds before lunch, but should be home in next couple of days. I took Linda over to visit him in her car so that solved the transport problem for today
and we did some shopping on the way home, which saved another trip out
Alan was fine, looking better day by day. They were talking about taking the abcess drain away tomorrow and the antibiotics drip should be off tonight as he has completed the course. They were taking even more blood when we were there - he feels like a pincushion  They couldn't find a good vein so were trying on the back of his hand when, suddenly, blood squirted everywhere   Oh well, at least they got the blood they needed :rotfl: He is starting to look forweard to food a little more, though can still only eat very small portions, but this is normal after his surgery
He will ring me in the morning after the doctor has done his rounds to let me know latest news and whether he is coming home yet
I am off now to do some more sorting and moving furniture in the bedroom :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Sounding promising on Alan getting home.
Take it easy on the furniture removals.
Have you thought about applying for DLA yet?
Will you get a chance to speak to the Dr again?
If so please ask them if they would be willing to complete Df1600 or is it a DS 1600.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
