Very encouraging, my first gift cupboard purchase was the day after boxing day.
Mad? maybe, but this year I was still in the black before payday in January, so I had the last laugh.HOW MUCH CAN YOU SAVE?: OLYMPIC CHALLENGE 2008BRONZE 10% SILVER 25% GOLD 50% PLATINUM 75%'Don't Stop me now, I'm cooking on Gas!' - Peggy Ollerenshaw - Hi-De-Hi!0 -
Ageandjo- Think of you, so sorry to hear of your loss, hope the others recover well soon.
Evening everyone, hectic day, decided to do the stupid oh yes well I'll take the kids shopping with me, again, will I never learn! Did only take two hours this time instead of the three it took last time. Did the prawn curry with fried rice, curry was ok, still not very good with the rice, but I was starving after not eating all day so finished it off. I'm attempting a soup with left over veg, unsure what it's going to taste like but thought give it a try instead of wasting them.
Goonies is fab!! Have it on DVDOne day I might be more organised...........

Oh dear I feel sick and horrible now. I've just had to lance the whitlow on DD's finger as it had swollen up till twice it's size and we wouldn't be able to see the doctor until Monday. It's now dettoled and Germolened within a inch of it's life and dressed to keep any dirt out. I was shaking at the thought of hurting her but she didn't feel a thing. I however have gone into shock and feel terribleOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Evenin' all :hello:
ageandjo I'm so sorry, don't know what else to say.
Well today on the minus side I got about 1% of the items I intended to get in the shops
On the plus side I found a pair of Calvin Klein pyjamas for £6.99 in TK Maxx(RRP £49.99) and they let me keep the Calvin Klein hanger
And my dad has been over, not only did we finish off all the fastenings on my wardrobe :j but he also fixed one of my flatpack bookcases where three of the screws hadn't gone in properly, so now I can actually use it :A
I was in my bedroom fixing catches onto the doors of my wardrobe, and Dad wandered into the living room and said "oh, you've got all the Elizabeth David cookbooks - I've been meaning to collect those!" So of course I told him about the deal on The Book People, which I have now emailed to him
Am now doing a bit of online research into hotels in Paris, I'm going for one night in May with two girlfriends :j I've never been to Paris before, despite the fact that I used to work next door to the Waterloo Eurostar terminal and used to think what a great idea it would be to go away for the weekend direct from my desk
Rzl xx
Edit: ((((hugs)))) moggins, I get squeamish about some things tooOperation Get in Shape

Good evening everyone (((HUGS))) to all who need them.
Just fell asleep infront of the telly with the boys
DH made pasta for tea with the pasta maker I got him for xmas. It was really good. Had a weird day today cos ds1 had a big tantrum (make that massive) on the way to the post office so we couldnt go to town then I had to leave my parcel there cos they had a power cut!
THEN he calmed down so we met back up with DH and ds2 and went for lunch, and DH had already done the shopping
did a load of ironing this afternoon including a tablecloth for tomorrow, but after the pasta I don't feel like I will need to eat for a while. But my jeans I got in the sale are falling offMORE PASTA OVER HERE HUBBY !
Bargain RZL theres a good hotel where we stayed near the Gare Du Nord but I cant remember the name, but go to the bakers for brekky cos it is cheaper. Of course we all bundled into the photo booth in the station for an Amelie style pic;) I will ask DH what the hotel was called.
Moggins I had GREAT fun when DD had a verruca I enjoyed painting the stuff on and peeling it off. I missed doing a medical degree by a hair's breadthMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Hello all
Not been here before, saw it mentioned on the Stormbay thread which I have followed it from the beginning but couldnt find the words to post, cowardly I know.
Glad to see that it is not just me, MSE is very addictive, cant resist checking various threads when I should be doing somehting else, I have just read this thread from the beginning, quite a marathon, it seems that many are just as addicted, I think I have managed to figure out all the abbreviations now!
