Thanks to all the people who gave advice and their knowledge on the issue.
Unfortunatley there will always be spiteful and snide people like the total !!!! above who get off on being nasty.A person can only feel sympathy for these people because they are sick and twisted.
So you can continue making your snide comments you horrible !!!!!!!,but people will see you as that.

When you have used this forum for rather longer you will see that there are, sadly, many example of the ACAS helpline giving people the wrong advice.

At its first level it is simply a call centre staffed by people with limited training. In most cases they limit themselves to offering generic advice which could easily be researched online.
