Well now I am properly concerned.

I have never, ever been sent home from work because of the wind before . Everyone who has to travel has been told to go home and stay there
Road home flooded and branches everywhere.

    Hope everyone is safe x

It's started to get a tad interesting down here in the midlands, though nowhere near as committed to the effort as 'oop north'...stay safe everyone. x

At last, it is quiet and calm here, now I'm hoping the blizzards that are forecast don't make an appearance :( It got very interesting here for a while last night - it always seems worse when it's dark. My french doors kept creaking and I was convinced they were going to blow in. Who'd live in Scotland?

I'm off work now for a long weekend and I plan to finish completely the Christmas shopping today. Going to the big shopping centre nearby and I'm gonna blitz it :) Then I'll know how much money I have (or haven't) got to get me through to pay day (6 days to go :))
My grand plan is that if I do that then my December pay packet is all mine and I can try to get started on my debt busting before January and give myself a little head start :) I have already brought my date for finishing F/mans forward from 6th Feb to 27th Jan. Not much, I know, but it makes a difference to the interest that they'll add and as you know Every Penny's a Prisoner :T
I think I might try PADing. Do you round it up to the nearest £1 or to the nearest £5? I'm not sure if my bank will let me pay less than a pound????? Do you do it once a day or once a week?????
I think I'll take a mooch over to the PAD thread and see what they do.

Best go and get the rugrats ready for school. They are not keen to go after their unexpected day off yesterday so I may have to deploy the crowbar that's under the bed :rotfl:

Brilliant!!! I have never bought in the January sales before (always been too skint after Christmas) but I think I might just get sorted for birthdays and Christmas early (very very early) :)

    it's a great feeling isn't it? you've done so well:A

i find boots particularly good for pressies in the sales. but i always keep an eye out wherever i am, whatever time of year it is!

my current bargain section favourite is Mr A's freezer section (obv. NOT for pressies lol and i know you're avoiding him;)). I got 4 veggie burgers for 50p and BE salmon fishfinger 10 packs for 30 each. got 3 packs as then i've got enough tokens for my free soft toy too:j

    Good Morning

I like to declare that I am finished :T The Christmas shopping is complete :T If I ain't got it now then they ain't getting it :T

I am so pleased (and a big bit smug) that I have finished it all with one more payday (5 days until) to go and not one single penny on any kind of debt. This is so different from other years and I can march into January with my head held high and tackle my debts full on.
December wages are mine.......all mine **evil laugh**

I have read through the PAD thread and I have decided to round down every day just to the nearest pound at the start until I can see how much available money I have for the month and then maybe round down to the nearest multiple of 5 (does that make any sense?) towards the end of the month. I still don't know if my bank will let me make a payment of less than a pound but we will soon find out :)
Once f/mans is finished I am going to tacke the capital 1 cc which has the highest rate of interest and my snowball demands I get rid of it. It will probably take me the whole of 2012 to get rid as it has a balance of over £1400 on it and an interest rate of 34.8% But hopefully by making a monthly overpayment as well as PADing to it that will make a huge difference.

Is it wrong of me to be a little bit excited and impatient to get started on this?????

Heading off to Mr T this morning and I have to collect parcels from the post office and post the last of my ebay parcels :)

I have scoured the Mr T website for all the bargains and my shopping should fall well within budget for this month :) Then home to do some housework and then barricade myself in my bedroom to get some of the parcels wrapped.

Freeby, organised two weeks before Christmas????? Unheard of before :)
