Hi,
I just called freesat and was offered either halfprice for 6 months or 1/3 off for 12 months. As the contract is 1 year, the third off worked out cheaper. Thanks itstime222!!:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -

The guy even put it in the notes field of the order that I had been promised the PVR2 box and not to install anything else... just proves it matters who you get through to!Illegitimi non carborundum.0 -
I phoned to cancel.
They offered me sky+ for £49 but then said I would be contracted for 12 months and had to pay £10 a month for having sky+ as we don't subscribe to Sports or Movies.
I didn't want to commit to 12 months at £10 a month.I appreciate that someone earlier said that they may be doing away with the £10 charge but would you not still have to pay it if already agreed on a contract ??
He eventually accepted cancellation (25 mins) Guess I will have to wait to see if we get a phonecall !!0 -

The fella intimated that the charge will be scrapped very soon, but couldn't be drawn any further, no doubt he'd get into trouble. Didn't even quibble with the price. That was thru cancellations btw.:T
It is nice to talk to British people with British accents in a call centre. Even if he did have a very broad scottish accentIllegitimi non carborundum.0 -
Have been following this and other several threads on getting a sky + with much interest and picked up the courage to call this evening and it was a nasty experience.
At cancellations they still would not badge at the offer of Sky + for £99 + £60 INSTALLATION!!!
WARNING
THEN TO MAKE MATTERS WORST they refused to cancel because since I had just signed up BROADBAND back in December that tied my Sky account for ANOTHER YEAR!!! so NOW I CANNOT CANCEL MY ACCOUNT!!!
This is really bad news because they definitely did not tell me about this condition over the phone when i signed up and I feel that they have mis-sold me a product therefore I WILL be writing a complaint to both SKY AND THE OTELO OMBUDSMAN!!
So I m now a very disgruntled customer just because of their greediness of a mere £50 they could have offered me sky+ for and they would have not only retained a happy customer but recouped their loss within 6 weeks!!
SO BE AWARE!!!0 -
