WOW....... just been back to page one and looked at the spreadsheet and 'totals update' form.... impressive. Hopefully it will keep us the straight and narrow.
Off to find the digital camera and recharge the batteries - ebay here I come - (when I've found out how to sell!!) Must do a new sheet on the excel spreadsheet so I can keep tabs on things.0 -
Could I please be added to save 8000? Might be a tad high for us but it's a good goal to add to our house deposit! Thanks.0

Hello - can I join please?
Slightly different circumstances for me. I'm saving for a deposit on my first house.
Looks like my share will be around £30,000, I currently have £13,750.
Therefore my target is £16,250.
We'd like to be in by Christmas, so I'm aiming to hit my target by end of September.
Blimey, they look like big numbers, don't they? I think I saved £11,000 this year without being mega-serious about it, so hopefully I can step things up now I've got a defined goal in sight.
Good luck everyone!0 -
brizza, well done, you have done well so far and are set to go much further. You are aiming at £1800 a month to be done by September. I am going for a little less than you, £15,000 and to be done by end of November. I have £13,500 debt through my business to get rid of aswel so will be no easy task but im going to work hard and make it easy.
Might have overtime contract coming up worth about £10,000 to me that could take 2-3 months, overtime only to complete....that would be a great amount and see more than half the debt paid back in one clean swoop.
I am offically on holiday from work, did my own little job this morning...home now watching The Social Network about Mark Zuckerberg...fantastic film. Working tomorrow morning then off for 2 weeks holiday. Will give me time so sort budgets, find overtime and see about taking on that big contract above.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Hi everyone :hello:
I'm so excited about the start of this challengeonly 9 sleeps left until we start! :-o
I've been thinking of ways to cut back, in reality I can't save the amount I need out of our regular monthly income so I I'm putting together a little list of other ideasWhen we pay a direct debit every month but have a few months break (water, council tax etc) I will transfer this straight into my savings account as well
Might not be back on before Santa comes, so have a good one everyone, last chance to let our hair down properly before the challenge starts, so everyone have fun and be merry! :santa2:
