Transfered £100 today, but already updated Feb totals - will simply add it to my March one, as expecting to do another £600 on the 1st!
Great to see so many savings success...0 -
Wow!! What a great thread!! I would like to join too
12k sounds lovely, but I know that my savings goal is a lot lower than that (silly minimum wage). I get paid on wednesday, so I'll start my challenge on 1st March 2012. I think I will set myself the goal of.. £7000. A bit of a challenge but if it was too easy there'd be no fun in that.
I am saving for a car, and as a part time student I have to pay for some of my fees, all before the end of 2012, so those will be accounted for.Save in 2013: #166: 9,122.51/[STRIKE]5,000[/STRIKE] 10,000Interest earned in 2014: £257.61 20/04/140 -

Despite some ridiculous spending (someone please rein me in!) I have today transferred £961 into savings, bringing my total to date to £2000! Amazing! Honestly, I'm so used to being in debt, and all my money going to pay it off, that now I can't help but smile when I move my money into a savings account!
Everyone's doing really well - keep it up! :T[STRIKE]Debt Jan 09 = £10,046[/STRIKE] Debt-free since 16/12/2011

Thank you very much, Desperate Housewife. I'll also try and keep an eye on the daily newspaper voucher thread to make sure I don't miss it again. They seem to be doing this offer pretty regularly now, aren't they?0 -

Just under 5k saved so far for me. Really happy so far as I'm still having nights out, going Amsterdam in a couple of weeks etc.
10k is the target by the end of the calendar year. Wish I would have started saving sooner!
Roughly 50% there!!!0 -
Well, I am declaring £1,105 for February (will update on spreadsheet). Have been a bit more cautious this time, as once again I've got work expenses on my credit card to pay.
I need a bit of a kick up the backside to be honest. The last couple of weeks have been disrupted work-wise and here I am, having driven to work (£5.20 parking) and bought my lunch (£2.42) when I could have walked and made something to eat. I would be far healthier too!
It is sheer bloomin laziness I tell you!! Need to get off my bum and make an effort.I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.0
