Yay my regular saver matured so another £125 moved across. Will add that to the March number though as I've already declared February.I'm going to consider looking into ways of making the savings "work for me" though. I know it's tempting to just admire your balance but im pretty sure i can work some sort of way to maximize things. Suggestions on a postcard, of course.
After that you could consider S&S ISA, but that should only be if you are planning on keeping this money for a longer term.
Alternatively try matched betting - I've never done it, but there is a board discussing this on the forum somewhere....

Hi, my monthly total for February is £232.87, no.159. Better than none I suppose, (updated front page for you).

I've added my figure to the spreadsheet, but £1094.36 saved this month taking me slightly over 2k so i'm still on track for the year. Have done loads of overtime which will be in my pay on the 15th so hoping to add another 1k-ish then. Still plugging away at surveys and have a bit of cashback owed too, though going to the Isle of Wight (how exotic!) at the beginning of April for a week which will come from March pay too so need to be careful I don't spend too much there. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470

Have updated spreadsheet with £500 for Feb, so that's £1000 altogether. Hoping for £600 per month to get me on track, with the excess being spent on my car. Not bad!6k in 2012: £4200.00/£6000.00

Declaring £395 for February, speadsheet updated
Still far from being on target but a lot better off than we were just a couple of months ago. :j Thanks a lot to all of you guys for encouragement and support. Let March be a great saving month for all of you!!!0 -
February's total is 776.49, which is not as much as I hoped (aim is 833 a month). Spreadsheet has been updated!
Two reasons for this - a very needed (and much enjoyed) holiday last week and work owes me £321 in expenses. As soon as I get the later back, I will be putting it straight into my savings so it will be a good start for next month!
This month is going to be exciting - my bf starts his new job on the 26th and we are moving in together!2021 MFW #35: £6000/£60000 -
Fascinating thread. I'm saving £200 a month in a s&s ISA. As at this moment I've got £10,383.43. Everyone talking about their age - well, I'm working on the assumption that I might live for ever, because that's the only way I can face any sort of a future. That amount started with zilch only a few years ago. I'm just fascinated with the whole process and how it works. I'm always hearing an opposing view, that it's not worth saving because 'the government take it all off you in care fees' and 'you get benefits and get it all anyway'. I just want to see what can be done.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

February was terrible, it was really hard to keep the money in!
Total is £694 because I have taken an executive decision not to count the tax for 2011-2012 that I had to pay at the end of January as part of either month's total. Otherwise it would have been less than a tenner!
I'm still behind schedule though (monthly target is £834) and the next few months are only going to get harder!Saving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000 -
