  • Best thing to do is just have ebay cancel the sale, and relist it.

If you read the thread you will see that this is the whole problem- how can OP cancel the sale but be guaranteed not to lose his fees ? Ebay can't just 'cancel the sale' it doesn't work like that, hence the OPs dilemna.

  • The buyers flippant attitude is what annoyed me how many other auctions has she done this on
Out of 12 auctions 3 of the buyers have ignored the collect only in the biggest boldest font on ebay 2 of them I cancelled but when number 3 made a much lower offer then wanted it posted free that was the last straw
Wish I had never tried to help my realtive by listing for them, ebay buyers seems to think it's ok to do whatever they please and threaten negs if you dare to say no
I will be filing a NPB alert maybe she will think again before doing it to other sellers
I have added her to my blocked bidder list and ended all realtives auctions early I will just give him some cash tell him it all sold, and take it all to a charity shop instead, ebay is a faffing nighmare, buyers who can't read and rules that make little sense last time i ebay ever :-(

Ebay is not ideal for goods that cannot be posted- not least of which you have the issue of the paypal on collection scam. I've had to start risking some collection only auctions, but then had my first buyer who was unable to read this week (I posted about it on a different thread) but luckily he had asked me about my postage costs before the auction ended, so I had time to pull his bid and block him.

I have tried listing these items on Gumtree and in small ads, but have had no success- hence having to try ebay.
