Just wanted to post a quick follow up from this mornings posting Re: episode of approx 10 staff + manager crowding around sale rails so public couldnt get to see whats for sale at my local T's well after posting on here I went to another larger 24hr Tesco and was really pleased with the staff response apparently they had sale stuff out yesterday as well as today, spoke to a couple of lovely assistants who where putting the stock out and trying to answer some of the queries people where asking, bringing out kids clothing when someone asked if they had any and not a member of staff in site around the discounted clothing only those putting it out, got loads of things for less than £16 but feel more pleased with the help and attitude of the staff despite the hoards of people buying and the madness of it all.0

I am all for getting a bargain but to complain about staff just because they got the sales goods first is something else.I dont believe for one moment that if you worked for tescos etc and had a chance to put sale goods aside you wouldnt. Isent it just the same when you spot a bargain you make sure you have the amount you want[not need] before you tell anyone else about it.Talk about two standards you do need to move on.
What is it with you and this "move on" stuff. You sound like you'd be right at home pushing and shoving to get a £1 T-shirt.
You seem to miss the point completely. Tesco staff are there to do a JOB and that JOB is to SERVE customers, they are not their to bag all the bargains and then serve others when they feel like it!
If you was a secretary, would you go into work and type up allyour foreigners for UNI students who want their course work typed up before you did your paid work? Maybe you would?
I'm not bitter about it, I could have gone out to my local store which has a working price checker in the clothing department at 4am and had the pick of everythign there in peace and quiet, but I simply don't really need anything at the moment.
I do however think that the complaints on this thread and the electricals thread (not to mention the 1p thread) just goes to show how poor tesco staff on the whole really are. Their training is awful and commitment to the job pathetic.
In the next few days I shall be writing to Phillip Green and you can be sure there will be links to plenty of the comments in these threads as well as my own scathing anecdotal evidence. It'll be interesting to see what he has to say.0 -

I don't think this is a greed issue, but an issue over poor customer service - something everyone is entitled to complain about and should if they would like to see a service improved.
Let's all remember this is a friendly and generous forum, where people are quite rightly entitled to their opinion, but digs and sarcasm are not required.
Back to the topic of the thread - which is the Pound sale at MrT.0 -
I was in Tescos in Bl@irg0wrie this morning and picked up 3 pairs of mens navy blue, sort of embossed striped trousers and matching suit jackets plus one shirt and tie that matches pretty well all for £1 each!! Couldn't believe it when I saw them lol got them for 3 of my friends boyfriends as we've got weddings and christenings coming up and none of us have any pennies so £2 for a pretty fab suit is just brilliant.•
