I forgot all about this so when I went into my local Tesco Extra today I was a bit surprised at the scrum for a moment. Two double rails out and what was literally a baying mob gathered round, shoving each other out the way, barricading the rails with trollies and screaming at each other. All women too btw. I thought briefly about having a look but there's more to life than a cheap t-shirt or two ie good manners and dignity, so I went and bought the things I'd come in for instead. I know we all like a bargain but there's no need to come to blows about it. Most of the stuff was pretty uninteresting as far as I could see, the sort of clothes than hang around on the reduced rails for months. And why does anyone need ten identical Take That t-shirts? Ebay, obviously. It's pretty horrible to see that sort of extremely rough and aggressive behaviour in public though, especially with little kids around.

    Glad I didn't bother going!
  • But might be COMPLETELY wrong now, coming to think of it LOL!

They're the seasons. Eg, AW10 is Autumn Winter 2010

I think some people need to calm down with the sarcasm reading some stuff back. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to drop things and go right now. I for one may get the sack if I did that. We're all mean't to help each other, it's not about getting digs in.

Careful, with an attitude like that you might get headhunted by Tesco.

I am all for getting a bargain but to complain about staff just because they got the sales goods first is something else.I dont believe for one moment that if you worked for tescos etc and had a chance to put sale goods aside you wouldnt. Isent it just the same when you spot a bargain you make sure you have the amount you want[not need] before you tell anyone else about it.Talk about two standards you do need to move on.

I am going to sound dumb now - but what do the highlighted mean?? (i am blonde!:rotfl:)
No worries, AW - Autumn/Winter, SS - Spring/Summer, the numbers are the year. eg AW10 are things from their autumn/winter 2010 range. You can find it on the clothing label somewhere in small print. I think I read somewhere they were reducing AW10 and SS11 but not 100% HTHs
  • Would just like to say to the lady (and i use that word VERY loosely) who was at the Walsall Store today, who pushed me out of the way, hard, banging my large pregnant tummy - literally, with her trolly..... and gave a simple response of ''you gotta be quick here!'' and never once asked if i was ok when i had to sit down to catch my breath on the display sofa....

well, i saw you get out of your car beforehand,... in the disabled spaces, and you didnt have a blue badge..... i DID report you to the manager of the store for parking there.... :)

also, my son put his sticky fingers on your car bonnet after eating a iced doughnut.... i didnt stop him.

im not usually this petty, but your attitude was terrible... good job i had a midwife appt today to check all was ok.!!

That wasnt very MSE friendly of her. Hope you and baby are ok? People just get too greedy. There is no 'need' to events like this, wants and people will be better off as a result, but that's just darn right horrible x
