I forgot all about this so when I went into my local Tesco Extra today I was a bit surprised at the scrum for a moment. Two double rails out and what was literally a baying mob gathered round, shoving each other out the way, barricading the rails with trollies and screaming at each other. All women too btw. I thought briefly about having a look but there's more to life than a cheap t-shirt or two ie good manners and dignity, so I went and bought the things I'd come in for instead. I know we all like a bargain but there's no need to come to blows about it. Most of the stuff was pretty uninteresting as far as I could see, the sort of clothes than hang around on the reduced rails for months. And why does anyone need ten identical Take That t-shirts? Ebay, obviously. It's pretty horrible to see that sort of extremely rough and aggressive behaviour in public though, especially with little kids around.

Went to L*chfield store just after 9am... got 11 items plus it gave me the 25% off at till!! :j

Not much left there though and I overheard a member of staff talking to someone (who had presumably just started her shift), saying that they had put rails of the stuff out last night and it went almost immediately!! and that this was the last of it all now.

I have noticed since getting back and looking at my receipt that I have been charged £8 for a cardigan, so that will go back!

My local Tescos had a rack of pathetic looking clothing odd t shirts a bra a dress and some tights, I asked a SA if that was all there was and she said yes. I went to the clothing section at the back of the store where they had more sale stuff but none with the magic £1 sticker, but I found my grandaughter a lovely little dress which had been reduced to £4 and it went through at £1. Also managed to get a couple of casserole dishes. All in all not really worth the petrol it cost to get there so I hope everyone had better luck than me!!!

K.Lynn (G'wood) - Not many clothes but loads of boxes of gloves, hats and scarves - women, men and children, really nice sets for 50p - £1, original price £7 - £10. Some men's thermal gloves 4p (all gone now). I did manage to get some £1 clothes first thing - longline cardi, jeans, skirt, baby outfit and shirts.

Plenty sets still available - about 10 crates on shop floor. All credit to the lovely SA who was actually smiling and chatting while unpacking the boxes - and because she was so pleasant, and kept saying how much she was enjoying it all, the atmosphere was great with everyone polite, no pushing and even people handing items to each other! Amazing, really. :)
