Picked up a couple of dungaree & t-shirt sets for my nephew (3-6 ths, newborn) at £1 ea, and some summer-style booties, but would be worth checking the normal baby sale range as they were in there and not priced right (found out on a price check that they were reduced)
HTHs,

I think they should have a staff rule on this type of sale, not allowed to buy unless its actually on the shop floor, rather than save what they want out the back and everyone else gets the rest.
They do! Its just ignored, and in two stores I know of the management chain are some of the worst offenders! I go straight to the store manager with complaints as its hard for him to wriggle away.0 -
Has anyone been to either of the Bedford stores this morning? I tried the Cardington Road store on the way to work this morning at about 8.15 and there was nothing in sight.... I asked a member of staff to check the price of one of the sale items, but it came up as the same price on the ticket. She said she knew nothing about the £1 items..... hmmmm....!0

bit the bullet and went to ruthergl3n store glasgow and there are about 4 rails all with £1 price blitz sign.
it was chaos lots of people chucking anything in they could get and not letting you look. i took a walk down the toy aisle and came back just as they were refreshing it and managed to get some stuff. there were no cardigans or jackets as some people are getting, plenty of take that t-shirts though.
i got
3 pack toy story tops grey/blue/green
2 peppa pig boys snow tops
1 boys combat green lined trousers
1 girls lined jeans with floral detail
1 girls denim look leggings -50p!!!
1 boys 3 piece set jeans top and cardigan
1 girls purple owl top and short set
1 boys light blue pixel polar bear top
1 black super skinny jeans
1 black jeggings
1 cream vest top
1 purple pyjama bottoms
1 black thermal ladies vest
spent approx £13 and i am very happy most of it for myself and kids and 2 pressies
i would have waited a bit longer but kids were bored and fed up.
as for the people talking about the staff taking everything, the lovely lady on the checkout told me they are only allowed to have a look when they finish or use their teabreak as they have been told customers come first.0 -

near the door there were shirts (originally £14) shoes and handbags...rails of t shirts but didnt see much else because of the throngs of people sorry0 -
I only managed to get a few things already mentioned. but am happy for what i got.
Also managed to get 2 iron's and a kettle from the electrical list and 4 boxes of quality Street, the S.A was so busy telling the S.A next to her about the sweets she did not even notice the price of my electricals so i guess they knew about the clothes and took what they wanted.
Didn't take long before this thread was hijacked by the moaner's and groaner's, moaning about what they never got.

Am going back again tomorrow with my dad in the hope that they might be putting more out each day, but to be honest it was a waste of time today.
Dunno, when I left this morning about 11ish, saw only 1 £1 rail, 4 £5 rails and lots of clothes off to one side at half price. Was well gutted as I got someone to watch my little ones. Felt conned was expecting more stuff at £1 not higher.
Good luck tomorrow! Oh an well done to all who got stuff for themselves and Family / friends.:T0 -
Big big thank you to op for the heads up on this really appreciate it x0

Hi
Had no idea this was on, went to pick up my towels.
Staff were handing each other items rather than allowing customers to buy any.
The way the rails were placed was a major hazard, I got shoved pretty badly and spoken to quite rudely. walked away, getting a bargain is brilliant but not worth losing your dignity for it.
Tesco could have handled it better, but us shoppers have a responsibilty to behave with dignity. I felt really sorry for the kids in the buggies whilst the 'adults' shopped.0 -

If the staff are taking all the stock and being rude, ignoring customers and not doing their jobs peoperly then report them! If you feel some limits should be applied to the number of items any one person can have then make your thoughts know to him. Take him and show him the mele!!
