The dhbdirect offer is £72.50 for the DELUXE version delivered. This has the 'polish mode', the travel case and includes a Probright brushhead. Amazon is currently selling the Deluxe model for £139.17.
OK so its the DLX in the title that means deluxe model?
Basically the picture on the DHB website shows the standard version as the deluxe one is silver and white rather than having tints of blue in it....0 -

I can confirm that the DHB website one is the Deluxe Version (DLX) as I have ordered and received one from them. I have to admit that their description in the more info box and the picture aren't too good. I called them prior to ordering to check that it was definately the DLX version that they were selling for £72.50 and it was confirmed.
I have been using the Triumph DLX for the last three days and it is an excellent toothbrush.
Getting the 24 months guarantee to try out the toothbrush in is excellent customer services. But remember to keep the box, receipt etc. How many other companies give you 2 years to try their product and if you decide it is not so good, they let you send it back to them (Oral-B) for a refund?

i can't believe i missed the oral b 8500 offer first at tesco for 35 quid, and then at amazon for 37.50. anyone know any places that are selling the oral b's cheap 8500 or the 70000

I much prefer the bargain I got. The Ultrasonex Ultrasound toothbrush with Flosser + heads kits, this is what it looks like....

...apparently the complete kit started out life priced as £100 ....Boots have been clearing them out for for just £12.50 - give your local Boots a try - you might be lucky!0 -

i bought the 9500 dlx from the dhb website....
I have been using the ultrasonex phaser for one year [same one as hankmcspank] and it is not as good as i had hoped which is why i am changing it..... The heads are too stiff to go inbetween the teeth, etc..... The superdrugs own £14.99 sonic tooothbrush is a better brush and the heads are cheaper.....0 -

Well I suppose it depends how desparate you are to get a 8500 or 7000. If they have gone down to around the £37.50, I imagine that they will drop back to that again at some time in the future. Cannot really see Oral-B terminating the 7000 and 8000 series toothbrushes.
Just done a quick search for you. You could get the 8500 for £40 inc recorded delivery off ebay:
Search for EBAY ID : 270085411121 Buy it Now item 4 available. be quick - seller has 100% 185 feedback record0 -

Hope you enjoy using the 9500 dlx when it arrives. It needs charging for 12 hours prior to use. I left mine on charge for a bit longer for the first charge. It cannot overcharge and it contains NiHM batteries.
There are a couple of minor glitches with the 9500. One being that you have to turn it on to select the different brushing programmes. Shame, because it would have been better if you could turn it on without the brush going and select which programme you require. Then start the brush.0 -
thanks for the heads up....
boots currently have the 8500 series for £50 in-stores if you guys want to purchase from a shop with their warranty...0
