I can see it makes sense in theory, but the doing it is just horrible. Today for instance, I'm picking up DD2's same charger, same clothes from floor, putting away same mirror, putting clothes into the wash. How long before I say SO* IT!!!! I'm even trying blackmail but because stupidly I gave her two weeks' money in advance........
My sink is shiny! Personally I think you've got plenty of better things to be doing if you have pets or kids - but I live on my own, and this place can routinely look like unsupervised male students live here. Not really an issue, but people seem determined to pop in without at least a week's notice...plus *ahem* my mum is coming up on Monday...:o0 -
mum's always require a clean for don't they Nora!
i put my aversion to housework down to my mum who was obsessed. If you stood up she'd be patting the seat behind you and hiding all evidence that you'd been there. even on christmas day as you unwrapped pressies you had to put them in a nice pile which was to be taken to your room and put away as soon as everyone had finished. My house is currently spotless and tidied to within an inch and i hate it because i feel i can't do anything in there without upsetting the status quo. I do hasten to add that my kitchen and bathroom are cleaned very regularly i'm not totally minging.

Me too!!! Sadly I can't find anyone willing to do it for free!:(The debt has gone down my such a tiny amount, this is because I estimated the initial crisis!! Couldn't totally face it. I misjudged the Sainsburys debt by about 200 so that was more like 2400 and the Egg was about right 4200 plus the 400 overdraft so it was around 7000, I was a wee bit out
I think most of us have been that scared of our finances - but you've turned a massive corner just by facing up to the reality of the situation. Well done you *presents gold star* :TCraving Pizza Express!
Well, gee, thanks, me too now!! Just remember, if you give in to that temptation, make sure you do it using one of the many money saving vouchers available on the main site.

Nora is very right, many of us have been scared to face our full debts, but it does make you feel better in the long run. So you didn't reduce the absolute total much this month, this wasn't because you didn't try it was because you'd got the wrong starting point, next month you won't have that issue and every penny will count.0
