Today is payday. I spent £694.42 and wiped my smile credit card. It's kinda good and depressing to see all that money go at the same time.
  • Morning Ancasta and Co.

I too had a Hash Brown sandwich from the canteen (£1.75, I had a latte and mushrooms too), they are horribly addictive, thank goodness they only cook them on a Friday :p

I've not bought lunch with me so need some spends there. I may indulge in a bottle of wine this evening, but will share it with housemates. Will update spends tomorrow.

I'm paying my 5ps = £5 into the bank today to put in my Australia fund. It's not much but it's a start.

    Oh my god!!!!

OH has just called me from work, he picked the post up on his way out and has just opened it- it is a demand for £80 for an outstanding parking ticket. It was me that was using his car that day and it is for outside my mum's house so it must be me. However I didn't receive a ticket, there was nothing on the car. It was illegally parked but I literally ran in and ran out (the engine was still running I was that quick) so I didn't bother to put a visitor permit in the window (I would have had to go in to get the ticket anyway!)
There is a warden who lives down the street (loads of people get tickets at weird times, like 3am, this was on a sunday and it's only really got permits because people park there for the station, a normal warden wouldn't bother at weekends as there is only about 2 cars in the road). I also think the warden didn't have time to put the ticket on the car before I drove away (he probably created it from the comfort of his armchair). !!!!!!. I am going to send off £40 with a letter stating that I didn't receive a ticket, my OH wants to just pay £80 as he can't be bothered trying to sort it out.
    So annoyed with myself!

I havent spent anything so far today but i did find £1 at the post box this morning so now am debating should i put it in my piggy bank or add it to my 97p i have left in my budget and buy Heat Magazine? I nearly bought it yesterday but then thought of seeing my name in red again and i dont want that! This thread has really made me rethink my spending so thanks Moozie!

If you didn't get a ticket write a letter saying so. They have procedure and if it isn't followed it's not enforceable. Write a nice letter explaining what you did and what you think has happened and I'm pretty sure they'll sweep this one under the carpet.
