Just had a thought. My OH is going to apply for a CitiBank account.

Can she use my Quidco even though I already used it for my account, so that I get the £50 cashback through onto my account twice?

Anyone tried this? Otherwise I will just register her a new Quidco account.
  • I went through quidco for my SIL with my account but the only transaction showing up is the one I did for my savers account 30. then I had to go look for it.

Pls be nice to all MSer's

I have spoken about this in another thread and the general feeling was that we should use another Quidco account. People who have applied for bank account and Savings account and they only have one transaction pending.

    Hope that helps

  • my point was in earlier post if they were from the USA then thats why people with bad credit score are getting the accounts, or maybe its just that all the credit scoring places have up-dated there firms and any person with a bad credit score no longer has a bad credit, as I known after so many years thats the case.

    Hi ComputerWoman :)

I answered your earlier post on another thead with:-

I am not sure of CitiBank's origins, but I do know that it is a massive international bank with a significant UK presence (CitiGroup).

"Also, any bank trading in the UK has to comply with the relevant UK legislation which includes complying with all the laws and rules set by the FSA.

Which means that CitiBank will use the UK Credit Reference agencies just like any other bank."

It doesnt matter where the banks originated from, if it operates within the UK, just like say HSBC, then they have to comply with the relevant laws and legislations.
or maybe its just that all the credit scoring places have up-dated there firms and any person with a bad credit score no longer has a bad credit, as I known after so many years thats the case.

    Not sure what you mean?

    My credit report from Experian:
    Searched by: CITIBANK INTERNATIONAL PLC
    Application type: Enquiry

    From Experian's FAQ:
    What is an Unrecorded Enquiry?

An Unrecorded Enquiry is a search that was not made for lending purposes. It will not be seen by any lender but it is included on your credit report so that you are aware that the search was made.

As shown above, Citibank are not doing a full credit check, just an enquiry to verify your details. This should explain why individuals who were rejected by other banks are getting accepted by Citibank, because they're not doing a full credit check.
