not sure what kind of men your into but im not like that but i wouldnt allow my gf to tell me what to spend my money on and she would never
    tell me
    we make descions together

So because robus and his wife decided together that she would deal with the finances, it means he's not a man. But when you and your girlfriend decide together, you are!
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

Like I said if you bothered to read my post someone stole money out of my account granted it was only a monthly direct debit for about £12 but nowt to do with me, I have never signed up for a book club or whatever it was.

What do you mean apparently you did. Most banks will give you a free £50 OD if you ask, but you didnt you just took. Now you should pay it back with fees which we all know are a rip of but thats what happens if you take without asking (stealing) what makes you think you can take someone elses money.

Op makes mention of a failed business, no job, and low income -- from this I imagine op also has debts and possibly some defaults on ye'old credit report.

So you can't assume he can get the £50 OD.

As I had said elsewhere, I have never been overdrawn in the whole of my life - I haven't had a bank account in my name since 1981!

My wife runs the money in our household and she knows exactly to the 1p what is in the account and what is available to draw out.

    Good management is key!

Bank at fault - now I have heard everything!!

" sorry but can't pay the credit card anymore - anyhow it's not my fault really, they allowed me to run up the debt didn't they?"

The bank are not at fault for ops actions, doesn't change the fact the fees are excessive.

If everybody was so strict about borrowing/sepending we wouldn't have business, innovation ect. I remember a time when amazon was loosing millions of pounds/year as they was spending their way to a global brand, high risk strategy could have easily gone wrong leaving many lives in tatters and a similar situation to op.

I'm happy your finances are so good -- your income clearly exceeds your outgoings... not everybody is in this situation! People loose their jobs, have accidents which affect their ability to work ect ect ect, which gives cause to borrow money from banks to help through some hard times.

    I agree.

My Mrs deals with all our finances -- I have a standing order setup every month going to her and she deals with the rest.

Being a business owner, having to deal with numbers everyday the last thing I want to do is go home and deal with that too!

Or if the wife was a stay at home mum the family may find it easier for her to deal with that.

There are so many reasons one or the other would control the finances, the suggestion your less of a man because you don't deal with this is absurb.. borderline idiotic!

Some of the comments on this thread are totally out of order.

The OP has posted asking whether or not he can get some help, not more berating of how he got it wrong. £90 does seem extremely excessive. I wonder if you could phone customer services and agree some sort of repayment plan.

If they genuinely really don't care then I wonder if a word in your local MPs ear, local paper etc. about how you have no money to eat etc. etc.

This probalby isn't what you want to hear, but if you can just about scrape through the fortnight or week or whatever the benefits period was, pop over to the OS Boards and they can show you how to eat ridiculously cheaply for a period of time - even on a couple of quid. Can your parents bail out (I know again, not probably what you'd want - but you have to eat)

Yes that's what I am saying isn't it?

Yes I am on benefits but I don't have a widescreen plasma tv, I haven't been away for 6 years, I can't afford a car, I can't go out drinking, I don't slob about smoking skunk all day shouting abuse at old women and war veterans etc so you can pause your rage and save yourself a seizure for today at least.

Glad to hear you have a job, must be nice, fancy swapping ? its a none stop mardi gras life on benefits, sorry did I say life I meant existing.
