V pleased to see you have done your list now Rising.
Reading your post has made me make a start. I have booked a podiatrist appointment 14:10 on 8th. I have to take my trainers and shorts! It's going to cost £56 for the appointment alone plus I think I will be buying orthotics. Still, if it sorts my foot problems (this is not the first I have had), it'll be more than worth itDebt £26k 18/10/140 -
Good Things :j
- Went out with lovely friends last night, for curry then pub quiz and bingo, won the bingo which paid for the drinks
- Managed to reign it in and drink plenty of water and feel great today. Mr B had to go back to bed for 2 hours.:D
- Lovely generous mother in law called me yesterday to tell me that she has bought my birthday and Christmas present for 2013 in the form of a Christmas tree just like hers because it was in the sale. It is a beautiful 6ft ornament tree, which I had much admired.
- Little back garden all tidied up, rose pruned and trellissed.
- All washing and ironing done
- Podiatrist appointment booked, which will help with all my health goals next year
- Today is the last day of a terrible year
- Feeling v positive about a Fresh New Start tomorrow
- Back to work the day after tomorrow. Really really wish I'd taken more time off
- Need to take all decorations down. I love Christmas decorations so much, but must kiss them all goodnight until next year

Good Things :j
- Saw lovely friends for lunch at theirs on New Years Day and have made plans to go ballroom dancing (classes)with them!
- Also have a swimming trip planned tomorrow night
- Washing done at 5am using cheap leccy. Just need to get in the habit of ironing in the early hours for the same reason
- Podiatrist I have booked has come v highly recommended by above personal trainer/triathlete friend, so feeling v optimistic about foot
- Christmas decs all down, house all sparkly clean, feeling like a fresh start
- Took gingered chickpeas to work, v organised, filling healthy, cheap and delicious
- Went back to work today and it wasn't horrendous
- Minimal spending. Although with swimming and dancing and podiatrist, this will not last
- Ariel was on offer in Waitrose 3.6kg for £7.12 so have bought 2 boxes, 90 washes which will last me until August.
- Also managed to go into Waitrose to get the washing powder (I saw offer on mysupermarket) and bought NOTHING else
- By some miracle am still only 9st 11lb today. Of course I want to get under 9st, but I thought the damage would be much worse over Christmas, so pretty chuffed
- Did buy 2 big Christmas baubles and some storage boxed in the sale. Have been wanting storage boxes for ages for the sideboard in the hall and these were cheap. I even haggled 25% off because there was a slight tear in one. V pleased. Total spends £9 for 6 boxes and 2 baubles so not sure if this in fact should have gone into Good Things list

I think we need to start making up food plans. Food is our downfall. We are just so lazy, and when we get home from work neither of us want to cook or clean dishes, so we waste our money away. It obviously doesn't help our finances either. So I need to do something like a food plan and put it on the fridge. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hi Banwa - just popping in briefly to wish you a Happy New Year and to congratulate you on your progress in 2012! I've been a very naughty Been and have not been keeping hold of the purse strings tightly enough and the results are now showing
I'll post an update on my diary over the weekend, but for now, nice to 'see' you again!

Hi Banwa,
Happy New Year to you. Lets hope 2013 brings us good things (although with the start to mine, I have had better beginnings but hey ho lol!).
I am rapidly expanding to the size of an elephant - man cannot live off snickers alone and eating unhealthily is also making me feel lethargic and rubbish :-)
Figures are all looking good :-)Just keep swimming!0
