If you can fling the car loan money to the OD once it's finished, you'll be able to get rid of it really quickly :j - worth it 3 / 4 months & you'll then have nearly £670 / month free!:T

Ah Pinot, I am going to try and post Good and Bad every day even if I have not a lot to say, to help my focus. I've found it quite useful to look back to see what I was doing this last time last year without having to read my own waffle:rotfl:

That's the plan. Can't believe how much more positive I feel, for the first time in about 2 years I am not worrying about Mr B's work. It's pretty liberating.

Good Things since I last posted:j
    • Have cleaned out the loft as promised. Wow we had (and mostly still have:o) a load of cr*p
    • Loads of stuff in boot to do car boot sale
    • House is clean
    • All ironing is done
    • Resisted urge to buy a striking landscape print from the local art gallery (we have a trade supplier who opens to the public once a year with bonkers low prices)
    • Also resisted urge to get fish and chips, despite Mr B having a sad face when I said no. It is rarely worth the money-guilt and never worth the lard-guilt

Bad Things since I last posted:exclamati
    • Am v temped to just take contents of car boot to a charity shop; it's all nice stuff that I don't want to see go to landfill, but really don't want to stand in the cold for hours while people haggle over 50p
    • V tempted to go and get the print (£45). Mr B being very snobby, just because we have a some 'proper' art now he doesn't think we should waste time on prints and would rather wait til we are solvent and add to our collection. I just like the print.
    • Haven't exercised since Thursday and not nearly enough this week in total. Plan is to start in ernest again next week (I'm on holiday from work this week)
    Goals from Monday
    1. Start logging all spends again.
    2. All food/alcohol/cleaning etc spends to be kept with £50 for week
    3. 20 miles of running, 1 mile swimming
    4. Limit myself to 100g choc for the week and 10 biscuits
    5. Eat an apple and 2 carrots a day
    6. Drink 3 pints of water at work each day
    7. If weather is good, do the car boot sale
    8. Current weight = 9st 10. By Friday this will be 9st 9

  • It's lovely to see you posting again. I'm so pleased as I missed your posts. :T:T :j:j

If you want any more ironing let me know. I have some left to do. ;)

    • Lift shared
    • Despite Mr B being rubbish, got his Mum's birthday card sent on time
    • Lovely girl from work brought in soup for us all. Going to make pea and ham from some out of date peas and whoopsied ham I found:D
    • Payday tomorrow and there is still available funds in the account!
    • Santander have sent me a letter saying they've noticed my balance is nearly gone (observant) and offered me 0% until September. That's not that long really but at least there would be no applying and we do need to transfer Mr B's Natwest card balance next month. It does mean that apart from £200o ish with Virgin EVERYTHING would be in my name. Bit scary but at the same time I trust Mr B after 10 years, and I am more organised and I would have more control. Not that I am a control freak, you understand.
