Hello you lot. I've been hiding because Mr B hadn't found a job and I was cr*pping myself. I have spent the last two weeks or so such a state, I thought I had an ulcer at one point (really).

The job market is a scary place. He has registered with many agencies and rang many companies. He had those first two days work and then everything eerily quiet. I was really worried that his old boss had given some bad feedback on him. After his interview and assessment with the green lorry people they said they would ring in the next couple of days and he heard nothing. :(

Wednesday this week was the lowest point, he was getting up at the same time as me (6 30)and I asked him why (I do need to think before I speak sometimes), and he said it was so he would be ready if anyone called him and asked him to work. And my heart broke a little bit, I hated the idea of him waiting by a phone that didn't ring. I was so upset about it that by the time I got to work I was crying pretty much uncontrollably. (Work were lovely and told me to go home immediately).

Anyway that seemed to be the turning point. He got work on Thursday and Friday through the agency - good long runs with a night in the lorry in between, and offered a week of night runs starting on Monday. He rang a haulage company who said they were looking for drivers (hallelujah), so finally a decent lead, and a call from someone he mailed his CV to who he drove for at his old evil company, who was also treated quite badly, so you never know, that might be a good lead too. :)

Then on Friday afternoon, he finally heard back from the green lorry people that he had been successful.:D

    So phew!

On the money front, I daren't look. We will have slipped back a little but it could have been so so much worse. I have spent quite a lot of time in the last couple of weeks imagining what we might have to do if we can't make our mortgage payments so I'm just feeling lucky that it won't come to that at the mo.

We have paid for someone to returf our front lawn (we did it last year but a naughty mole ploughed it for us) - £150 Mr B lost his job after I's asked the guy to do the job, and I forgot to cancel. Also Mr B needed some new glasses and sunglasses, so £130 later... He needed them though

Anyway that's a lot of writing for today, off to catch up with everyone else now

Oh Banwa, I'm sorry this has all been so tough. Totally understandable though and my heart went out to you and Mr Banwa when you described how he was getting up early just incase the phone rang.

I'm so glad there is now light at the end of the tunnel for you both, congrats to Mr Banwa on the new job.

Good to hear from you today x

Hello, just thought I would pop by to say I am still quietly MSEing BUT Mr B got sacked and things have been difficult to say the least. Full update later. Need some inspiration in how we are going to make ends meet over the next few weeks
