i wouldnt put much stock in the feedback, they might have had sellers who've left it as soon as they have paid, only later to get chargebacks thrown at them (have had this happen)

also this line would put me right off
so pls trust me im an honest buyer.

how old is the rest of his feedback?

    Thanks for your reply,

3 in the last month, 19 in the last 6 months, 120 in the past 12, 200-odd altogether, all positive. I think I may be ok, touch wood. Just initial panic as i've heard all about scams from international buyers but i'm hoping this one is genuine. I've looked through his/her feedback and they seems to have bought lots of similar items over the last few months and with no negs so i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

50p says the item doesn't arrive!!

(anyone sending me a message like that, and I'd insist on using a proper courier where they'd definitely give a signature!)

What did your auction state for postage abroad?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    Buyers can't get negs.

I said i'd only post in UK. Am starting to regret starting selling on ebay again now, have only recently started again after years away and it's this sort of thing I wanted to avoid :(

  • Send Airsure or International signed for. Do Not cut postage corners. Sounds like a genuine buyer to me. The sending the invoice is normal and once paid you are covered to send. I would send them the tracking details. Ebay is worldwide and theres nothing that rings alarm bells here , for me.

I don't believe airsure is possible for Sri Lanka and International signed for is not routinely tracked once it leaves the UK.

I would be suspicious but then I do get similarly worded emails about 5 times a day at work!

Any buyer that says trust me will set my alarm bells ringing. Strange they dont mention religion also.

Because of course religious people would never scam anyone on ebay, But its ok to murder people who
    think differently.

Smells fishy to me, If they are buyers then they will have 100% because sellers cannot leave negative
    feedback.

If you click posititive you add to their score and anything negative you put in the feedback will get removed.

I'd put money on an INR claim coming your way (mentioning claiming from Royal Mail BEFORE you've even sent it? ALARM BELLS!) but at that price I'd probably just send it anyway and be damned.
