Been reading all day but new bp pills have made me absolutely shattered. And have a splitting headache. And throw up with no warning at all. Lots of fun. Was at the hospital this morning though and they've swapped me onto some new ones, hopefully I'll react better to these. Have to see the nurse at my GPs weekly for the next month, then go back to the hospital, and hope things have settled down by then.

Anyone who wants to set their November goals I'm happy to post them on the front page again.

Hello everyone - Happy Monday :D

I hope feel better now Dinah and the meddling MIL has stopped, well, meddling :p

Something interesting happened that I needed to share, because I can't actually believe it myself. I'll set the scene - about half an hour ago, in the bathroom I was casually plucking my eyebrows (as casually as you can!) and my BF asked if if I wanted him to get some sweets for the trick or treaters

I said no because I hadn't budgeted for it (plus we never get anyone so we end up scoffing them ourselves.....maybe I should have said yes) So he said "So, can't we buy anything now?" I said "You can, but it'll push us over our £40 a week budget. I need the receipt so I can add it to the total"

Then he said this, so flippant "Well, I've been keeping a sending spreadsheet since January with how much I spend on everything. I keep all my receipts (side note: I wondered why he did that) and add them in" I'm already shocked at this point, but then he brings a Celebrations tin FULL of receipts!

He never tells me anything because he keeps it all to himself (one of the reasons we are at counselling) but seriously, !!!!!!?! This I did not expect. Even I'm not that organised!
It does sound like he wants to change, I'd show enthusiasm and go through it with him, see if you can work out how despite tracking his spending he's still floundering a bit.

Glad to hear you relaxed this weekend Dinah, good girl! Although boo to Mammy NIM ruining it; it was Halloween weekend so a witch was to be expected! ;)

I've had a nce shoppy weekend, my Mum bought me these Ugg boots (in 'Toast') so I'm now in the Ugg crew :o They are so toasty warm I'm actually quite looking forward to it getting colder so I can be all smug and cosy! :) And I found some skinny jeans that actually look half decent on me, hurrah! :)

OH has been in touch over the weekend and he's OK despite being bandaged from shoulder to elbow, he had to go back to the hospital to get his dressings changed yesterday so I reckon that we'll be going to the hospital after I pick him up to get them changed again which is a happy welcome home present for him! Poor lad, he's not been able to swim or do anything fun and he's a water baby so it would have been really hard on him. By all accounts the stewardess immediately tried to blame her mistake on everyone but herself and my brother overheard the crew saying to each other 'If you say *this* then I'll say *that* and you'll be covered'... don't think they're counting on OH having 23 witnesses who saw what actually happened, which was the stewardess overloading herself with boxes under one arm and a pot of hot coffee in the other hand so when she tripped she couldn't catch the pot! I've been worried about him all weekend so it'll be nice to have him home so I know he's OK, or look after him if he's not! :o And my Mum was worried about my Dad getting into trouble!
Gosh I didn't realise it was that serious, make the best of a bad situation, take photos, get a doctor to assess him, see if he can get a copy of the medical notes made while he was over there, you could very well have a 5 figure claim on your hands there, which wouldn't make up for his pain but would give you a nice little baby fund.

What annoys me is she seems to think we're too stupid to realise she's a meddling witch, or rather that she can do it anyway because it's her supreme right and our opinions about our own situation doesn't matter at all. ARGH. Going to find out if I can set up caller ID on our landline as I don't want to answer if its her.

LOVE the boots, are they fleece lined all the way down? Wish I could afford some, I wore my UGG wellies all winter last year as they were the only thing that stopped me loosing circulation in my toes.

Noah is gorgeous Flower, he looks so sweet.

Loving Poppy's Halloween costume - she seems quite taken with it too :D

Hope your new tablets agree with you better Dinah, that doesn't sound too nice.

May I roll *all* my October goals over to November? Haha I know that's totally shameful but I am lots closer on all of them, just not quite complete across the board. Soon, soon....

    Noah is gorgeous!!! :D

Well, he told us by email he was an IFA, but when he visited, he turned out to be an FA with a firm that like to sell their own products. Like the Everest double glazing of the financial world! So we have found another company through a friend and contacted them, but the guy is on holiday at the moment until next week or something. So next month it will definitely be sorted :)

Hope you are feeling a bit better Dinah, sounds horrible!

What a pain Lara, shouldn't be allowed to lie like that.

My boots points are ok now. I did another purchase through boots treat street yesterday for matalan as had 15% off and wanted to get a couple of bits from there anyway and now the points are showing that will be ready in 35 days. Looking around seems a lot of people who purchased on i-tunes had the same problem.

NIM sorry your mum is being a pain again, my mother is often hence the name mother and not mum, she phoned me this morning to tell me she's sure I must be gigantic and look like a weeble now, so when I got cross she asked if pregnancy was making me hormonal and temprimental.... and then she wonders why I don't want to see her grrrrrr!!!

That is my mother all out Missy. In a way its nice to know its not just me who has a psycho-mom

Could you report them to the FSA and forward the email for that? Sounds like they are mis-selling themselves reading that.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Flower, Noah is adorable and lovely and cuuuuute! :D

Sounds like your Mother is charming Missy! How has Mammy NIM been sticking her nose in this time, what new words of wisdom have been said?!

Sorry to hear that the tablets haven't done a very good job of making you better Dinah! Hope the new ones do the trick. :) Have you been off work?

My boots are indeed lined all the way down to the toes, I was wearing them yesterday and when I took them off they were giving off so much heat it was crazy! :)

OH's arm is minging! I thought he was being dramatic when he said he had 3rd degree burns but he wasn't lying! It's from his shoulder to half way down his bicep, all blistered and gooey _pale_ He's not going into work for the rest of the week as I don't think a dirty warehouse is the best place for him to be, he was worried that he might not get paid if he calls in sick after being on holiday... somehow I think they'll understand if he sends them a photo! He isn't in too much pain thankfully, he's so used to being injured with one thing or another through rugby that he's got quite a high threshold for pain now! It'll very likely scar though, poor baby! :( I'm not sure if we should send a letter to Jet2 ourselves and see if they offer any compensation or if we should just go straight through a solicitor and leave it to them to do their thing?

I think I did kind of OK with my October goals, will post my November goals later :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I'd go straight to the solicitor, at best the airline will offer free flights or something, there are plenty of no win no fee guys around, and you should get a fairly sizable chunk of cash.
