Thanks for the reminder about Day Zero Tete, I tried to log in on Saturday to update but had a complete brain freeze and forgot my user name and password! Off to update now and start following folk! :)

I didn't know that Carlisle was a nice day out Tete, will have to check it out when we're over that way. :)

I find the problem with making cards is that people start to expect them from you all the time and don't appreciate that sometimes you just don't have the energy/inspiration. I haven't made any Christmas cards for the last 3 years and each year people look really disappointed when they receive a shop bought one from me! :o They used to make a big deal about it at work but I felt like saying to them, 'Why should I spent hours of my free time making cards for people I don't really like and who don't actually appreciate what goes in them?!' One card a week sounds like a good plan Tete, I really liked your little origami ones you made last year! :)

That's really nice! Half the time people don't seem fussed by handmade stuff. I'm going to see how these two baby blankets go down and if enough fuss isn't made I'm going to be selfish and only make stuff for myself in future. People always see stuff you've made and coo over it but then don't seem bothered if you actually make THEM something. What really annoys me about work and Christmas cards (made or bought) is that about half send cards to everyone, then the other half will send an email round on about the 22nd December saying "Oh we're donating to charity this year instead of doing cards" Hmmm, yeah right, can I see the receipt? *Scrooge*

The origami cards are nice and simple to do, as long as you give yourself plenty of time! :)

Agree with this! Sometimes when I make things for people I do wonder why I bothered when they clearly don't want it! I'm just going to make nice things for myself from now on. :)

I wouldn't say no to one of your baby blankets, I think they're lovely! :) I'm going to talk MIL into knitting an all white blanket for us when we have a baby, will keep her busy so she doesn't knit ugly hats and booties and we'll actually use it! :p

I hate getting cards from people that are blank apart from the words 'From *insert name here*... fair enough, not everyone wants to write nice little messages like I do, but to not even bother writing the recipient's name in the card?! What's up with that?

I can't work out how to find people on DayZero!

My list is here http://dayzeroproject.com/user/Dinah93 if anyone wants to follow.

Got a docs appointment later today as blood pressure is through the roof, I was hoping to get a 10.5 hour day in to build up some time, but I'll be lucky to get to 8 hours.

Carlisle sounds lovely Tete! People just sound a bit ungrateful, hope the two people appreciate the blankets. I loved the stuff that was made for Poppy.

Dinah - hope the blood pressure goes down!

Hope things go well with the Doctor, Dinah.

You sound very busy this week, Wendz! Well done on the weight loss too, I'm sure you'll do another lb before the weeks out with running around after Poppy now.

All excited after being with OH's family yesterday. It's 127% we're having a Polish Lowland at the start of next year. So, being me, I've done a little list of names. Either Dolph, Bran or Tyrion. I really like Tyrion!

Nothing too thrilling my way this week. My Brother is over for tea tonight without the missus  So I don't know what's gone off there. Pity really as her 'nice' streak has been going on for long enough that I'm starting to warm to her a little. He's also coming for tea on Thursday when we're having bonfire bangers from Co-op. They're toffee apple flavoured and delish!

ETA: Might have them tonight actually, I fancy them now!

Cinny are you as nerdy as I am here?

To my mind its being named after He-man or a character from World of Warcraft.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

You're close NIM, Game of Thrones! Bar Dolph, which is more WWE based :o

You should get some Wendz, they're on offer (well, my way up at least!) £2 for a pack of six. Proper chunks of apple in them too. All excited for my tea now, doesn't take much!

But yep, polish lowland is the breed. Like this:

But look at the puppy cuteness!
  • Cinny I have no clue what you're on about, is this a dog? I might Google when I'm back from lunch.
