Glad you had a nice time Dinah and NIM! Lovely to hear that Grace was loved by everyone and she's gotten quite used to the attention!
Really hope things between your brother and his GF finally either fizzle out or settle down, must be so exhausting for them!
Great news that Gracie's check up is looking good, seems so weird that she's nearly ready to wean, she's still so small! No wonder you had a little blub!
Had a busy long weekend, OH's birthday party on Saturday was good and thankfully didn't go on too late so I had a decent(ish) sleep to get up early on Sunday to catch the train to London. Gaga was amazing! She was such a good performer and so sweet to all of the audience and it was really nice to see what an inspiration she clearly is to all of her teenage fans, especially the gay ones; it looked like the Gay Pride march had taken a wrong turn and ended up at Twickenham!I was also tickled that she did a section where she and her dancers were all dressed in 'meat' dresses! :eek: It was a shame that when we booked our train tickets we didn't realise that the Olympic parade was on or we'd have booked a later train as sadly we missed it, would have been nice to see that. Ah well, will have to start saving to go to Rio!

Glad you had a good time at the wedding Dinah & NIM, I nearly had a sniffle reading about Grace weaning so I'm not surprised you had a blub!
Wendz, I'm about £8 off on Onepoll still, have been trying to go at it with a bit of renewed enthusiasm recently but I do tend to forget it for long stretches.

Glad you had a great time Dinah! And it's really good to hear that Grace is making such excellent progress.
The wife of one of my friends went into labour 8 weeks early yesterday and the biggest surprise was she ended up having twins! On all of the scans you can only see 1 baby and yet there was another one hiding in there!
Glad you had a great time Birdie! Gaga is one of the few "pop" stars that I wouldn't mind going to see.
Dr's went okish with OH yesterday. He's been referred to the Epilepsy specialist as a priority case and will hopefully be seen in the next week to 10 days. The thought is that because this has happened so suddenly and with such force, that he might have had either a serious seizure or a mini stroke in his sleep that's caused this "Emotional change" in him. That's worst case scenario. There's a slim chance it could be the medication but he's going to continue taking it till we get the appointment at the hospital. Turns out he should have had a repeat MRI about 8 months ago and just never went, so if there are any changes, they will be pretty obvious because his last MRI was about 2 years ago!
Although saying that, he was fine when we went to sleep and was only a little anxious when he woke up once during the night.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Oh I forgot to mention that I was thinking about you and your OH Ruby when I updated earlier.
Good to hear that they're taking him seriously as a priority case, hope it's just his medication that needs altering and he's back to normal soon. How awful that he's been hiding panic attacks from you, must be quite scary for both of you!

Thanks Birdie
It's nice to be able to just talk about these things with people who don't really know you but kind of do.
They already have a 2 year old boy and now twin girls! And apparently she had them at home because everything happened so quickly! There's been loads of photos of their (many) scans on facebook and you really can't see the second one on any of them! Bit scary really.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
It's quite nice to know that even in today's highly advanced medical society, we can still get shocks like that!
Although now I know that, when I get pregnant I'll be worried that there's a secret twin hiding in the background!

Hehe I'd love to have twins, I know they can be a handful but I'd just really like it. I was one of twins but my mum miscarried the other at about 21 weeks I think.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Just catching up after my hols and only partway through but wanted to say Dinah have you thought of taking a years sick leave to look after Grace. A lady in my (council) office took normal maternity and then due to her daughter's heart condition was signed off on sick leave for approx a year. this would mean that you still have an income coming in and should help with making your decision easier.
Apologies if you've already thought of this and I've not got up to that part yet lol.
Also don't be ashamed of claiming DLA. I currently receive higher rate mobility and middle rate care due to my condition but this has enabled me to keep my full time job by providing me with the option to have a car rather than using public transport constantly and the carer's allowance helps out as well when needed. I was worried about putting a claim in but luckily I work with a Welfare Rights officer and he did everything for me.
Might be worth contacting your council to see if they have a Welfare Rights department so that you can at least discuss your options.
Good luck

So glad you had a lovely holiday, you sound so relaxed
Fingers crossed that your OH gets sorted out quickly ruby, it's good they're taking it seriously. Wow at your friend! I know a lady who was an unexpected twin, her dad turned up after the birth to be told "Your son's doing well but the little girl's having a few issues.' can you imagine! That was before compulsory scans though. Hope they're doing well.
Managed to lock myself out the house for three hours yesterday, and today & rest of the weeks going to be late at work so feeling stressed, I want to be back on holiday! I saw equestrian and athletics wendz, so good!

Wow Ruby, what a shocker, I didn't think surprises like that happened these days!
Hi everyone, haven't had much chance to catch up, internet at home has been a booger and work is just a booger in general so no reading for me. Hope everyone is well.
Glad you had a nice time Dinah and NIM - so weird that Grace will be weaning soon. Wean is a funny little word isn't it?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
