Been talking to our accountant about "nerdy" conventions. Soo tempted to buy me and OH tickets to one in November, as the past appearances would have made me die a tiny bit. But I'm not a super fan of all the things like that, so I could be out of my depth quite easily :undecided
You have an accountant? Also what cons you thinking of going to?I know what you mean! Really want to go to Comic Con but I'm scared I'd stick out like a sore thumb! I really want to go to the San Diego one, it's on my bucket list. I'd also quite happily go to the Star Trek convention because I think it'd be amazing people watching!
I've been to several *le shock and horror* you'd stick out mostly due to your gender, being outnumbered a good 10 to 1, but not to sore thumb levels. Bring a couple of guys with you, nerds sense females traveling alone and fear them
Its been years since I've been to a con though and I'd love to go again, SDCC would be almost as awesome as GenCon...and I'm going to stop right thereCinny, your brother is an idiot. Obviously he's been hoodwinked by the harlot and eventually the spell will be broken, but for now I pity the fool!

Have spent all morning tidying from yesterday's big cook off, and it's still not finished. I've then spent the last hour looking for my house key, which is still missing, so I've borrowed my own key off our neighbour as Grace is at the docs in an hour.
Sorry, I know I'm a baby bore, but looky - Grace without her prongs!
Only temporary while I gave her some new tape, but look how happy she is.
Wanted to hit ebay today, but the tidying and hunting has taken up the entire day, hopefully I can do a bit this evening.
Quidco check in is great, I notched up nearly £2 while walking around the other day in York.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Oh Dinah that's such a gorgeous picture! How could anyone get bored of looking at that face! Aww she is so gorgeous! Her eyes are so beautiful! I agree with Shrimpy, she definitely looks a bit cheeky too!
Glad you're feeling better today Cinny, just try and stay positive about all the opportunities that are coming your way.
Been a strange day at work here. Someone broke in overnight and messed a few things up, but didn't steal anything. Have spent most of the day feeling like I'm part of a CSI episode. After the Police left everyone's been coming up with theory after theory and trying their own investigation. Oh and the creepy guy complimented my earrings today; "They look cute, well they make you look cute. Cuter than usual I mean, because you are pretty cute"...Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Definite look of mischief there, you'll have to watch her! Are they cats on her bodysuit thingy? (Babygro?)
Can't keep up with all the chat I'm afraid but thanks for your comments - I can't take the shoes back to the shop because it's a concession. I'm sending them back via the collect+ thingy though and that's a flat charge of £2.50 which is a lot cheaper than Royal Mail would be so at least that's SOMETHING!
What's this Quidco check-in of which you speak? Is it on iphone?
EDIT - that is creepy Ruby! The man I work with will sometimes comment on clothes/shoes etc (because he's a bit metrosexual) but nothing like that! "They're nice boots are they new?" - that's about the right level of complimentary!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I'm anti anything that thinks sticking a silly logo warrants a 500% markup. Apple, Sony, Nike etc, yes their products can do a job but they are not worth THAT much more than the compeditors just cause they have a tiny apple with a bite taken out of it / a name / a tick...sorry swoosh on the side of them.:mad::mad::mad::mad:This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0
