Wow that resort looks amazing Zig! I'm not jealous at all! :) Hope you feel better in time for your trip to Tasmania.

I wish I could up sticks with OH and go off for a year, been feeling a bit itchy feety recently. :o Think I missed an opportunity when I was straight out of school to do something daft like that! Maybe I should apply to work for the US leg of our firm, but the office is in Virginia, I'd rather it be somewhere a little more sunny and beachy! :p

Oooh definitely keep me posted about HP people Cinny! Not that I'm a saddo stalker or anything :o

Tete, I have every faith that you'll master circles and pointy ears... please, for me!! ;) Good luck getting the scarves finished, have a mental image of you on the train manically crocheting as if your life depended on it! ;)

I can't wait till I can change phones, going to get an Android then I can get the Quidco App and check into Argos every day from home (since I more or less back onto it)! :D

LOL at the girl shouting at your office weirdo Ruby! :rotfl: You should change your screensaver to whatever weird thing he last said to you, so when everyone walks past they'll see your screen saying 'I'm special, like a little cute individual snowflake' etc, might make him stop... if it doesn't it's just funny! :rotfl:

Yup that'll be me on the train! :(

I'm guessing you can only check in to these places once a day?

No one would begrudge people in that situation a little bit of their tax money!

I think Jimmy Carr and Gary Barlow might ;)
That's right, all laugh at me because I've attracted the office weirdo!

It's hilarious though because every time he makes a comment, I say thank you and this girl that sits opposite him says "SHE'S ENGAGED, LEAVE HER ALONE!" and then he crawls back into his little corner.

That girl deserves a cookie...and now I want a cookie.

Hows everyone elses day going? I officially hate Survey Monkey and want to kill it with fire. Its made the last 10 days a bloomin nightmare cause some research consultant decided to save 50 quid organising data capture herself. GRRRRRR

Sorry, really didn't mean to make you feel like that. Surely you can only get tax credits if one or both of you is working though, therefore you're not scrounging, just not having to pay as much into the system. I just need to get this into my own head too.

Yes OH works full time - usually five days of 12 hour shifts a week. And I will be going back part time so we are both working :) Really couldnt manage without the extra help we get from the benefits system, and if you need that help you shouldnt be ashamed to claim!

Agree with Tete - Grace's health is more important than anything and you should claim what you can to help to stay at home to look after her :)

Zig - that place looks amazing!! Can I come please?

Little chunk has gained 11oz in 8 days :D This has brought her up from the 2nd percentile to the 4th in the space of a week, which is brilliant. She's now 4th for both length and weight, so she's in proportion, just titchy for even her adjusted age. She now weighs 7lbs 5oz.

Great to hear she's making excellent progress Dinah.

Also glad to hear you're having such a great time Zig!

Today is going ok. Just had Subway for lunch with the crew (who have now accepted me into the fold, maybe this job isn't so bad after all) and creepy guy tagged along. No strange comments but he did follow me up the stairs when everyone else took the lift and said NOTHING. Maybe he's starting to get the picture...

Had a VERY not MSE temptation on tuesday. BIL got a bike from the team he was racing for last year worth about 2k, they've told him he can have it to keep for half that. FIL offered it to me. I was very tempted as its an AWESOME looking bike which would be outstanding amounts of fun to ride...just a shame I don't have a grand sitting around :(

Sounds like Grace is doing brilliantly. Poppy is only on 9th centile for height so she is quite a titchy one too.

Ruby - that made me giggle about that guy, and the woman shouting at him.

Flower - i totally agree with others that you are not scrounging at all. You are both going to be working, not your fault that you don't get enough to survive on!

Great news about Gracie's weight gain!

Glad you've been accepted into the work crew Ruby, always makes work a lot nicer when you've got friends to hang out with :)

Great fun at badminton today; won my biggest number of games in a session so far, think it was more down to my great partner, but I still played well, you know you do when people say 'Ooooh SHOT!' several times :D
