  • See what happens when I come on this thread? Dinah's got me looking at the Next PJs (which I actually love because they're the only shop I know of that do a long length) and I've come across this amazing hat! Don't think it's in my size though...

DH is currently worrying over head sizes  I knitted a hat for the baby to wear after he's born and DD saw it and asked me if I would knit her one too. The pattern I had was for babies so I measured her head so that I could adapt the pattern. She found the measuring so funny that she ran to tell her dad "her head number". he came into the front room and said that's wrong so I wrapped the tape around her head and showed him. He was amazed that his head isn't that much bigger than hers! About 10cms I think. and one of the guys he works with has a head/helmet size of only about 6cms bigger than hers. So he's concerned now that she has an abnormal size head!!!! *rolls eyes*

Isn't the head of a 2 year old 80% of its full size or something? Brains don't grow much I guess!

Oooh, sweet muffins Wendz! Poppy is the sweetest little thing :D Looking very snug in her new coat!!

I always feel bad when people talk about winter coats. I pretty much just have a spring one and suck it up if it gets too cold :o I did get myself a really snuggly snood from Primark though, so I'm set. I love that hat though Tete, you have to get it!

I do love the spirit hoods you can get mind. Shame they cost like, £125!

Bless you OH though, Star! :rotfl: Sounds just like something my OH would convince himself of. I personally do have a stupidly big head for a girl, and then I have thick hair on top of that. In all seriousness, with having my hair on one side I've developed a little crick in my neck :o

Problem with a sophisticated coat it that you need to wear sophisticated clothes with it Tete, I've got a lovely Coast coat that's very posh but looks awful if I wear casual clothes with it so it looks rubbish most of the time as my looks just don't 'go'!

I lurve the owl hat, too cool! Its about time they started making cool kid's stuff for oldies! It is very Tete too! Surely you could make one since you're a crochet genius now? :D Ooooh a bear hat!!!! :j

LOL @ your OH's head size worries Starnac! :rotfl:

Thank you and hi! The first diary is the best for hints and tips, I actually got the debt going in the right direction at quite a pace in that one. Does your BF just not understand money, or does he have an ostrich attitude to it?

A bit of both really. We're trying to work it out so he is more open about it (so he doesn't think I'll just be angry! :p) but we need to get him to walk before he runs, so I'm trying not to spring "How much debt are you in?" just yet...

He's not in massive debt (I'd say circa £3.5k) but he's in a spiral because of his job and overdraft. He works 70 mile round trip, so a huge percentage of his wages goes on diesel. He's been giving me a lot of his stuff to sell this week, so he's made about £70 profit, but it's not enough.

I said to him, that he's not had his LBM yet, and I can't force him.
EDIT - PS - Hi GreenSaints! Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you there! Loving NIM's "I'm smiling because I don't know what the heck's going on" attitude :D

    That's ok, I won't hold it against you ;)
