That will be lovely to have christmas at yours Dinah.

Managed to redeem a £10 argos voucher from one survey site so that will be going towards christmas presents.

It is so cold today, have a feeling our gas bill will be expensive this year, think will have to put the direct debits up.

Well done getting another voucher Wendz! You are a survey queen! :)

Just looking at the list and the bit about questioning tax codes has reminded me, has anyone who wears a uniform to work seen the bit in last week's e-mail about getting tax relief for washing it? You can claim money back for up to 6 years and get a tax adjustment for the future. I'm doing it for OH, might only be £100 or so but it's better in our pocket! I'm surprised that companies who provide uniforms don't already sort out the correct tax code for employees though, it's odd.

I think it is likely that my stupid anxiety issues are to blame for making me feel rubbish, went to the travel agents at lunch with OH to complain/ask for a refund as they messed up our transfer and we had to pay $108 at the airport to get taken to our hotel as the agent messed up the booking and we had to speak to the snotty manager who I really don't like and did everything she could to dodge all responsibility so I came out all grumpy and headachey again, why can't I just handle stress like a normal person; why does my body just shutdown on me?! Grrrr.

  • Tax relief for washing uniforms? I don't get tax relief for washing my clothes and yet I still wear them to work! That's not fair!

Speaking of anxiety, I seem to have been grinding my teeth for months without realising, in my sleep and subconsciously. Desperately want to stop but it's proving hard! Anyone else had this?

I was going to do that for OH. I forgot he worked at b and q before police as well so could get even more back.

Oh dear Birdie, does sound like it could be that causing the problems. Are you particularly stressed about anything else at the moment?

It does seem silly Tete doesn't it, I think the point is that you have to wear clothes for work that you wouldn't normally wear so you're washing extra and it's costing you more... but if we're going down that road then why aren't people who don't get a uniform get tax relief for providing their own work wear?!

I don't think I am that stressed really, I have had a tough time readjusting to normality after my holiday though so maybe I'm just a bit worn out and this is how I deal with it? i.e. not well! ;) And of course when I'm like this every little thing seems 10x worse because I'm not in the right frame of mind to cope with it... sigh. I'm bl00dy useless! :o

I think holidaying takes it out of most people, think we need a holiday to recover from a holiday! Hope you feel more normal soon Birdie.
