Good news that the doctors are feeling positive about Grace
Your pic doesn't work for me Cinny, but I saw a pic on Twitter and he's so cute!
Just getting ready to go to the Lakes for my friend's Hen weekend! :j I really hope we don't get washed away by floods! :eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Dinah yes babies do that. Dylan cries so much you'd think I hadn't fed him in days.
When my brother was a baby he would scream so much, he'd hold his breath and pass out! A doctor told my mum just to blow in his face when he held his breath as the shock would make him breathe again!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
I was half asleep when I posted! http://twitpic.com/a1itby it is the twitter picture, Birdie
I get to puppy sit him this afternoon!
That's worrying about babies, bless them!! Im sure Grace will be fine at home though Dinah, I know the hospital is eternally a "safe place" but you're a Mum, you're the best hands she could be in. Cheesy as I know that sounds!
Weather is confusing me. Don't know what to wear0 -
Hope everyone in the North isn't too affected by the crazy weather. One of my uni friend's who lives in Newcastle is currently in a hotel because his house is completely flooded!
I know what you mean Cinny, I wore a dress and a cardigan to work this morning because it was sunny where I live. But when I got off the train in Reading it was grey and raining and cold. Thankfully the heating is back on in the office!
Glad to hear Grace is getting stronger every day and I'm sure it will continue. As people have already said, there has to be one child that proves everyone wrong and it sounds like Grace might be that child. Oh and I'm excited for you that they want to publish her case in a journal! My lifes ambition is to have a piece of my own research published in a journal under my name. I've had a piece published under my dissertation supervisor's name before but that wasn't that exciting!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
I've found a few journal articles which may have information about babies who also didn't respond as expected like Grace, I want to see what happens to them. My brother is going to try to get them on the uni computer as otherwise I have to pay $12-$25 per article, but guess where the library is - Newcastle.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

In more money related news I think my laptop might be about to meet its maker. It works fine, but structurally it's failing, the screen is now in several pieces.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Are they in medical journals? Just wondering if you could ask the hospital to get them for you rather than needing to pay?Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
They are. It's a long list though, I think I'll see which ones my brother can get then send NIM in as he's much better at finding someone to charm than me, I have all the tact of a bulldozer when it comes to Grace.
Currently writing a huge long list of questions and queries to ask the specialist respiritary doctor in Newcastle.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Don't blame you - tact is not an easy thing to have in these situations.
That's a good idea with the questions as well, as it can be hard to remember what you wanted to ask when you're there. When will you see the specialist?Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Dinah, I still have access to some journals from my last job, if you want to PM me the articles you want I can try and download them for you.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170
