Did the budget calculator on the BBC website and apparently I'm going to be about £156 better off next year, that's if I stay in the same job. However since I'm looking for a new job, don't think I'm going to end up being any better off this year!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Well if you will use plain english to explain how they've decided to shaft us all this time it will sound bad
Hows tricks bud, you;ve been quite lately.
Bloody busy. Anybody got a spare 8 hours each day I can borrow between now and Easter. My plate is slowly clearing but it is going to take a while.0 -

I think MSE filters out boy chat and stops alerting me.
Back in hospital last night, they're unsure if it's just uncontrolled high bp or pre-eclampsia, so they're running a gamut of tests. And then again because they all suggested different things. Had the firt of two steroid injections today to mature her lungs ready for an early arrival.
We worked out the budget will not hugely affect us, the fuel duty increase on august 1st will almost exactly cancel out the change to personal tax allowance for us. The £7 a week maternity increase is nice but obviously as we don't get it until the new level starts it won't seem like an increases to us, just the level that SMP is at.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

BP has been near perfect last night and again this morning, if it stays this way during today (cant go home until 2ish anyway as I have to have the second steroid injection) I reakon I'll be good to go home. Assuming of course my tests yesterday didn't show pre-e, and it is just good old uncontrolled high bp.
Stupid national lottery got my hopes up this morning. I played an online ticket last week I think, and ticked the +5 or whatever it's called, never played it before. Anyway, just got an email to say 'some news about your ticket'... got myself all excited thinking we've won £250,000, only to find out you can also win £2.50, £25 etc. I thought there only was one prize. Can't actually log on and check as both my dongle and my phone block the lottery site, so I can live in my dream world of what I'm going to spend my quarter of a million on for a little longerDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That's good news about your blood pressure, Dinah! And it must be worrying/oddly reassuring about the steroids. If you end up carrying full term will you give birth to some pumped up baby?!
Quarter of a million would have been lovely!! But then, £25 would be brilliant too considering the most I've ever won on the lottery was a couple pounds :rotfl:0 -
Woohoo £2.50! Important decisions, to splash out on mini-eggs, strawberries or atwirl?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Good news about the blood pressure. Hope it is just the uncontrollable blood pressure, although i'm sure that isn't fun.
Woo on the win, don't spend it all at once.
My day off today woo,going shopping with my friend and her little boy and Poppy of course. Don't really have much money but will be a nice day out. Looks like a gorgeous day today though so shame we will be inside!0
