Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Woohoo fab news you have stayed out Dinah!

Poddle - glad you have the cake sorted and £150 isn't too bad if you know it will be yummy!

I have never been to a civil wedding , although we are having one ourself! Love the idea of singing a well known song.I like Birdies idea of the beatles.

Birdie - good luck with the eyes tomorrow, you will be fine and will be brilliant once you have recovered. Bet your hair looks lovely too.

Had an ok day at work, feeling much better today.

Talking about cakes I am planning on making Poppy a number one shaped cake next month. Don't really wnat to shell out for a one shaped tin so might cook a couple of square shaped ones and then cut out bits and then ice over it so it joins together...might have to do a practice run.

I'm the queen of easy atm, part of me is really worried about money during maternity, but a much bigger part of me is 'it'll work out somehow, just grow the baby' and so I'm just checking the bank accounts, making sure not to go overdrawn just from being careless and having money in the wrong accounts, but other than that doing very little.

My payday Friday, NIMs Tuesday or Wednesday, looking forward to the money shuffle.

    Anyone else watching the budget?

Thanks for the cake love ladies! My sister did refer to it as her big fat gypsy birthday cake! It was a Delia sponge recipe and I just whacked loads of food colouring in and hoped for the best! Was Dr Oetker (however he spells his name) colouring though which is meant to be strong.

I love the Beatles idea! So cool and everyone would know it. I have it stuck in my head now and can't think of anything else :o

Great news that you stayed out of hospital Dinah! Bit of a catch 22 isn't it, all the worrying about being admitted can't be helping your BP! Hope you're feeling well today.

Good luck today Birdie! I meant to say before, my friend paid over £4k for his laser eye surgery  But he said it was the best thing he ever did.

The cake sound great Wendz, I think your idea would work well. I think - correct me someone if I've made this up - but madeira cake is much easier to cut up than sponge as it is a bit firmer and doesn't crumble as much. But I may have made that up.

ETA crossed posts - what is happening with the budget? I have heard about the personal tax allowance increase, but not for a year?

Smokes up 37p per pack from 6pm this evening.
Fuel duty still planned rise by 3p on 1st August.

Child Benefit £50,000 before it is then cut by 1% per £100 earned.
Car Tax - Rise by inflation

£1bn less borrowed this year £126bn, £120bn this year starting April and £21bn by 2016.

Gold - We currently hold £11bn in Gold after Brown sold off 400 or so tonnes for £2bn which now would have been worth £13bn.

I don't think we're greatly affect by the budget bar OH having to pay more for a smoke.

Hope everyone's well, and Dinah's home safe! Having a costly day today, despite trying to tempt Ryder's tastebuds with different food he's only interested in the £50 a sack food  bulk bought 30kg and saved around £30, with 5% cashback. Also signed his tush up to an insurance plan, will get £18 cashback from that.
