OK. Biccies are lush - reminds me of millies cookies. I chopped some cooking chocolate up and put that in.

My original batch made two lots of cookies and a batch of brownies (wasn't too impressed with the brownies, but I may have over cooked them)Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Can anyone tell me why there's so much salt? I never add it to cake, biscuits or brownies,

Just cooked these, made 1 batch brownies and 45 biscuits. I used coconut oil for the biscuits and will probably try using it for the brownies next time. They are yummy, not sure if the kids will get a look in when they get home from school!0

hi have just tried making these biscuits - but i just seem to have dried powder what have idone wrong? have iwasted all that mixture
These aren't good for New year Healthy Eating plans but they are so nice and so easy to make!
Mix 500g brownie mix (homemade brownie mix given below), 125ml oil, 2 beaten eggs. My addition is capful of vanilla essence, tesco chocolate cake covering chopped (cheaper than buying choc chips)
Place walnut size balls on a baking sheet.
Bake until just firm - be very careful not to overbake. About 8 min at 175C/gas 6.
Enjoy!!
Homemade Brownie Mix
Mix together:
4.5 cups flour (use up to half wholewheat)
3 teaspoons baking powder
3 teaspoons salt
6 cups sugar (I use 4 1/2 caster sugar & 1 1/2 soft brown sugar
6 ounces cocoa powder0 -
Hi scardy cat
The brownie mix at the bottom makes a huge amount. Mix together then weigh out just 500g of the dried ingredients combined together. Then add 2 beated eggs, 125ml of oil the vanilla essence and choc chips.
I posted this revised version on the flylady thread.
The brownie mix makes enough for about 3 batches of the cookies so its just 500g of the mix NOT the whole lot.
Hope this makes sense0
