Another vote here for Asda's £8 24 roll pack
There are six of us and one of these lasts us at least 5 weeks in comparison with Nicky's 9 roll for £2 which doesn't seem to even last us a week . IMHO the quality of the paper is pretty poor
Asda all the way for me :rotfl:Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

I noticed that the other day. They advertise the £8 more, I wonder if only the bigger stores stock the 32 packs1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
50p: Christmas presents £3.50
£2: holidays £2.000 -

I usually buy the Nicky toilet roll. £4 for 2 x 9 packs at Farmfoods. Sometimes when i'm in Iceland i'll get a 6 pack of Triple Velvet for £2.
I'll buy any decent washing powder that's on offer. That includes own brands. I'll never pay full price on washing powder/tablets or liquids though. I rarely use liquids but will buy if I get a good offer (I bought several bottles when Asda did the Surf 84 wash for a fiver each!) I have to use Surcare for my son. I try to get that on offer as well but have to buy it at any price if I don't get it.
I balk when I see 'offers' like 2 x 9 packs of Andrex for £7.50. I like good quality stuff but i'm not paying anything like that!0 -
That made me laugh tbh. So if he's sitting there looking at a roll of other TP and needs to wipe his butt, he'll refuse to do it untill you drive down to Tesco and buy him some Andrex? Also, what does he do when he's out? Carry his own roll of TP around?????:rotfl:
Sorry, but there's fussy and there's really fussy. I've never heard of a man being fussy about TP before...even women who have strong preferences will make do with what's to hand if that's all there is. Anyway, how can he tell what brand it is? Does he insist on seeing the wrapper before it goes on the holder?
I must remember to tell my OH about this one...the last time he noticed what toilet paper we were using was when I found one of these inserts that sang Merry Christmas to you when you unrolled it.
My brother-in-law will only use Andrex! He's been known to buy it in bulk from a wholesaler. He'll also only use Right Guard deoderant. I told my sister about the BOGOF and half price offer Tesco had a few months ago and he went out and bought 50 cans. I think he has a bit of OCD about him!0 -

yes it was as i also got £20 off my order, free delivery and possibly £10 CB and it wasnt the standard loo roll but the aloe vera and shea butter ones. if they were 2 for £8, its only 50p more than the offer you have linked to.
had the 2 for £7.50 offer had been on at the time of my order i would have ordered those, from ocado.
i didnt really need the toilet roll, but when i can save £30 off a £80 shop, and get it delivered, well worth it.0 -
Talking of stardrops....I picked up some laundry liquid from poundworld yesterday, it was called Alur and does 18 washes. Was going to walk straight past it but I noticed the Stardrops symbol on the bottle and thought it was worth a try. Tried it today - it was a bit watery and I thought oh this is going to be rubbish, but my washing came out really clean and it did smell nice. I'm going to do a few more loads before I make my mind up...anyone else tried it?
re ALUR - I bought this last week from Poundworld and have gone through half the bottle.. Washing seems fine. I generally use whatever is on offer and had run out of my cheap stock of ariel (love the smell of ariel liquid). I bought the non bio version of ALUR and might go and buy some more. I do use it with fabric conditioner though....0 -
