Thanks Beanie, just coming out the flu fog now
Bad news at work today.. they have announced some planned redundancies, i guess for the end of the year. Voluntary at the moment but compulsory if they don't get enough volunteers
At this moment in time, I'm very thankful for this site for allowing me to be prepared for an issue such as this.. with a redundancy payout we should have over 12 months salary stashed to live on if need be *phew* so no immediate worry but it'll terrify me getting a new job!
Need to get back into surveys, competitions and Matched betting in a big way and earn a bit extra!!

It's so unsettling when redundancies raise their ugly head.
In 2009 they closed our office down, so we were all made redundant.
We were all convinced we'd never work again, but in time, we all found new jobs.
Hopefully you'll be fine, but I'm sure you've got a set of transferable skills that another employer would cherishEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Thanks Goldie, it's a cycle our company go through every few years, maybe it's to keep us on our toes
This is my third time around.. They've always had enough volunteers before so no one seems too worried yet.
Nothing we can all do though so I'll not lose sleep over it yet!remain positive and all that!

Afternoon everyone
I feel all happy today as I love the cold crisp air of autumn.. we've done loads of tidying up the house stuff too so I feel like we've achieved something today :T last weekend was spent on the sofa feeling sorry for ourselves for being poorlies :rotfl:
Money savings :- found a new hairdresser who's roughly half the price of the old one :j:j hair to be done next week :T
- OH and BIL have done the nasty job of cutting the 12-15 ft hedges at the back of the garden  they've also tidied up the front ivy stuff and the front hedges (less tall) we usually pay the tree man to do it so saved ourselves £200 this year :j
- 3 new matched bets set up - £14 profit on one, 2 were just qualifying bets so I won't make profit on those yet (on going total £116 profit) it's a bit slow going though..(not as slow as surveys :rotfl:)
- dentist yesterday, he's very happy with my upkeep and has found no further problems since I first went to visit him 2 years ago to have root canal and filling :T no more treatments and no more paying for treatments! £50 fee but i'll get some of that back through work.
To do list- fill out form for dentist fee and send off
- swap our Canadian Dollars back
still not done it and now OH wants to spend it on a "treat" I was going to OP it
- clear down my inbox of survey invitations - check all the sites to see if any are ready to pay out

Total Debt as present moment £121,382.96 -2,104.54
I realised I made a bit of a boo boo on my spreadsheet (it's still a work in progress) i'd underestimated the amount of savings I had by about £400, so, it looks like I've done really well this month.. it could have been worse I could have overestimated it!!
Also had a bit of overtime payment go through and work gave us a little extra in our pay packets so I've have added a bit more than usual to savings as well which gives quite a healthy balance :T
Next month it won't be as much as we've finally ordered a fire place :j it'll hopefully be here for Xmas which means I can hang up some stockings and a garland.. can't waitwe've bought this in lieu of buying each other xmas presents (I've only waited 4 years to get one :rotfl:)
