Ammonite - good thinking using the loft to stash your loo rolls! i was wondering where to keep them, although we have a fairly big airing cupboard..
MRN - forgot you had to pay for the card, i'd have to pay for it as my sister lives nowhere near us or another costc0 so wouldn't gain the benefits of using it.
Two horrible busy days at work, 3 more to go.. clocked up 6 hours overtime already. Now just having a quiet evening in with the cat whilst OH is out visiting his mother..:D
Money shuffling - £250 has gone into my regular saver and i've moved my £5 Hal1fax reward money into my other savings.
Also just done a Sa1nsbury's shop and didn't realise it was my first one at this address, so saved £10 on a first order voucher. I'll move that into my savings as well.:T
Have a good week y'all xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
The loft is really accessible for us so if we get a few packs down at a time it is almost like going shopping in the loft
Well done for the £10 off sainsburys. I've never shopped with them before, find their website much harder to deal with than Tesco but got a big, heavy shop coming up soon so might try it out.
I definitely read your sentence as the cat is out visiting OH's mother -0 -

Total overtime for the week.. approx 10 hours.. I can't say i really enjoy it but i've had to pay for my eye op today so every penny counts at the moment. My savings (loan from family) have just dropped by £2500 :eek:so i'll need to make that back up sharpish!
We still haven't managed to curb the grocery spend. OH went and bought fajita type stuff last night and i'm having chippy chips for my tea (my treat when he goes out as he doesn't really like them) so my job tonight is to sit and sort out a meal plan and stick to it! *determined face* How exciting is my friday night :rotfl:
Much go and catch up on some diaries.. haven't been on all week..Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Hi all..
Just come back from the dentist, had to have a filling so feeling sorry for myself..:( luckily work have a cash back thing for dentist fees, so what would have cost me £48 is now free! It still doesn't make it any more pleasant though :rotfl:
Not much to report money wise, get paid next week so it's that time of the month where there's no money to play with.. and i've been spending lots of time at work making sure the people who are covering me whilst i'm off know what they're doing as the Management don't!
I more day at work on Monday then i'm off for my op.. positives, i'll hopefully be able to see again and i won't be paying out for petrol for work, negative, the heating will be on and i spend a lot on the internet when i'm off work.. I can see this time off depleting my savings somewhat! :rotfl:Hopefully i'll contain most of it to early christmas shopping and be well prepared this year..Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Back again...
MS stuff that i've managed to do now i've had time to sit down
- ordered Prezz0, pizza expre$s and Be1la Italia vouchers for our trip to Chester from Tesc0 clubcard points.. this way we won't have to pay for any meals at all :j
- Ordered a £20 voucher through Group0n for £9 - we need some new bedding, and this way it'll be cheaper
- £20 in amaz0n vouchers ordered through VO
- £5 amazon voucher from Swagbuck$
- all surveys now up to date
- homemade bread (it was Wright's bread mix that i got cheap with vouchers a while ago)
- popped to Waitrose to get a chinese ready meal for tea (i know) but decided £3.99 for something i could make myself was extortionate so i've come home without it..
- washing out on the line drying
- making apple and pear chutney from the trees in the garden
- sent off for a free toothbrush from Aquafre$hMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

I was very pleased this morning to receive an email from BH$ offering me a further £10 off discount voucher, so along with the Group0n code i managed to get £21 off a shop of £101.. hurrah i thought..
However, i happened to stumble across another code on the net that would have actually given me £25 off a £100 spend:mad:
Lesson learnt - always check the voucher code sites before you place orders!! I usually always forget TCB and Quidc0 too.. must get better at this.. d'oh!
Thanks Peonie and TYO - i'm off to Chester the end of next month so i was just getting suitably prepared. OH needs some new clothes as he's lost loads of weight so we're off to Cheshire Oaks too...:T
I've finally managed to do a kitchen inventory and a list of 20+ meals that we can have out of the freezer and cupboards for the next few weeks, so i'm hoping we can stay out of the supermarkets! the only blip i can see in my plan, is that my sister may be coming to stay - which means eating out a lot or buying extra groceries (maybe i'll pretend i'm really poorly and see if she'll buy them :rotfl:)Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Hi all...
Operation seems to have been a success so far.. got to be honest, although it was a lot of money, every penny was worth it. I was left feeling very confident in the consultant and the nursing staff and that's paramount in this situation i think.
My eye is now blood red (nice) but i can see out of it for the first time in about 2 years! :jI am still slighty long sighted so i'll need some new glasses at some point to see perfectly but i'm happy with that, although not with how much they weill cost :rotfl::cool:
Had some lovely get well presents and my first ever home made hamper which was just lovely and thoughtful from my SIL. i'm still chomping away at the choc and grapes
Anyway on to more money related matters - it's pay day, so that means monthly figures!!
Sept Monthly figures
Outstanding Mortgage £162,476.96
Family Loan £12,460.00
Daily interest £17.81
Emergency Savings £10,000
Total Debt as present moment £164,936.96(+784.36:o)
Weight target 42lbs/5lbs (not sure as haven't dared weigh myself after all the chocolate!)
As expected this month my total debt has gone up as i had to pay out for my op but i'm still under £165k so i'm happy with that!!
Hope everyone is fine and dandy xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0
