Hi Shala. As a non-shopper and not very fashion conscious member of the female population, I really begrudge buying new underwear. I had a revelation a couple of weeks ago though when I got two new bras. Made me realise how uncomfortable my old ones had got. :o I may need to pay more attention to myself in future!

    Glad the cake was yummy.

Hey MM, you sound like me - i hate shopping, especially for Bra's! I'm on the larger side so finding a shop that sells a good range is impossible unless I go for £35 bra's from Bravissimo and the nearest store is 30 mile away.:(

I've ordered some from M&S online this time, 4 for £45 which isn't too bad. They seem quite comfy so far but i find you have to wear them in a bit first to know 100%.

I only buy other clothes when i'm desparate for them. I always have the mind set of "i'll buy some nice clothes when i lose some weight" but i never lose the weight

I put on a stone over xmas and still have it plus i was already 2 stone overweight anyway! :o Maybe i'll add it as a challenge in my monthly numbers on here... might make me more accountable.

Right so my goal is to lose 42 lbs. I'm on Myfitnesspal if anyone wants a friend! :D can't say i'll be much of an inspiration though :rotfl:

I used myfitnesspal for a while, and found it really helpful. I particularly like that you can enter recipes and it tells you how many calories are in it.

But I didn't like the fact that you had to be online to use it. Grrr. It also took up a lot of memory and battery power.

I hope it helps you! I might go back to it if my weight keeps going in the wrong direction, like it has since Christmas. <sigh>

Hi Sepa.. i know how you feel, i was meant to lose my xmas weight and more by now, but it's seems to be going the wrong way!

Had some unfortunate, upexpected spends this afternoon when I realised i'd forgotten my cousins 18th birthday is next wk! Thank g0d for the internet that's all i can say! I managed to order some vouchers, flowers, champagne, balloon and a card all in 30 minutes, all to be delivered on the day... phew! :T Shared the cost with my sister (who'd also forgot:eek:) so it's "only" cost me £50..

With Oh's birthday tomorrow as well i'll be struggling to have money left in my account at the end of the month to transfer to savings :(

Frustrating few days in our household..

I thought it was easy to get some vouchers online for my cousins birthday but 3 emails and 5 phone calls later I've had to get my sister to pop to the shops and physically purchase the vouchers to post to our cousin. Voucher buying from Ne*t or Ernest J0nes is now a no no for me as it's shockingly more difficult than it needs to be! grrrrr:mad:

Tesc0 Customer service however have been a breath of fresh air.. damaged items in my shopping got refunded, delivery charge refunded and an extra £10 voucher for our inconvenience:T

On the spending front, it cost me £170 for my private consultation regarding my eye which wasn't as expensive as I thought. I still have to make a final decision on whether to spend the £2.5k on my op but i'm leaning that way. I definitely felt a lot more confident and comfortable with the surgeon/consultant that i saw this week compared to my NHS one.

On the weight front, I shall be starting my healthy eating tomorrow. It's been OH's birthday this week and we've been out and about shopping/eating out etc so it hasn't been the healthiest few days. (i've also made a chocolate peanut butter giant cup cake for work that i've been sampling.. but i won't touch it tomorrow promise!!)

    Savings £10,000 - hit target

Total Debt as present moment £169,817.83(-1,344.57)

    Under £170k.. :j:T:j:T

Had some housey stuff to do this week/weekend which cost us some money..

    - had gutters cleaned - £65 and they were full!
    - bought vinyl for toilet floor and some hall shelves - £65 with H0mebase 15% off
    - found rising damp in the kitchen so £100 to fix.. hopefully now it won't spread :( will have to repaint the kitchen though.

Also still need to get some airbricks put in the back wall for ventilation but i'm hoping that won't cost too much!

I think the previous owners did less building maintenance than we assumed they did so i dread what else we will find as we live here longer!
