I did write a entry earlier re friend offered me her old tumble drier, but its too big! A blessing in disguise really Im sure, as it would have cost a fortune. Its just hard work trying to dry clothes in the winter with no central heating, some things can take days to dry!
NSD today, got some housework done now relaxing with my twinkle, she has been such an angel this weekend....lets see if Im still saying that after this half term break is over!40 to go0 -
will be lsd today, need to get some fruit - got voucher & yogurts & nappies.
Also need to get either a USB to USB connecter or flash drive larger than the one I have now - will get whatever is cheaper.
Made a PAD to Hsbc & Bos, £5 on each :T40 to go0 -
Not much to write today, it will be a NSD, no payments today, no spending either.
Im moving my website over to another host, that will save me £4 a month. Found free software and touch wood so far its been ok. Just hope no issues crop up when I take the other one down & go live on the new one. Im planing to do that tomorrow night, so Im live again for friday morning.
more housework to do today been slightly distracted by work so now my ironing pile is huge!40 to go0 -
My new site is live woooohooo. I did have to work a 10 hour day on my birthday to make it happen but I was determined! Eventually I would like to learn to change bits of the template, so I have decided I will run a test version alongside my real site, where I can learn to make changes before doing it for real
Today I am taking a day off from work, taking dd to the library for a bit, something to do and its free! Planning a NSD, got nothing to buy so if I avoid popping into shops I should succeed!40 to go0 -
NSD today.
Feeling quite down in the dumps, no real reason just pure frustration, money, bills, debt just a viscious circle.
Things really spiralled when my nan fell ill, £200 to visit her(another country) another £200 for her funeral, lead to me going overdrawn, got charged, still had to by dd;s nursery bits overdrawn again got charged, mistake with HB, randomly cancelled itself, they did back date it but that caused me to go overdrawn again, so £75 for the recent bank charges. School photos £21, overdraft renewing £25, couldnt cancel as didnt have the money to clear it straight away, and the interest probably would have been close to that anyway with no money going in until I could clear.
It doesnt sound like a lot, but it does mean I cant get dd for her birthday & christmas what I would have liked to have got.
The plus side is, I could always pick up a few little bits in the january sales.
The soles of my boots are wearing away, today my feet got wet. There isnt a gaping hole in them, its just where the side starts to come away - Ive only had them 1 year! Not impressed.
Ive got wellies which I used last year for the snow, will have to get those back out again if it rains, just would have felt a bit silly when its light spray rain like it was today....when I have some money will have to invest in a pair of trainers for days like today.....havent had a pair for years!
DD's first day back at nursery today, after glowing reports last term saying she was really coming out of her shell & joining in (youngest in preschool), one keyworker approached me today to say she has reverted back to playing alongside children rather than with them....I asked her how long its being going on for, why hasnt anyone spoken to me...oh no, she was fine prior to half term, this is the first day....so its just today then? Yes....so maybe its because she hasnt seen people in a week, she might need a few days to get back into the swing of things, she is only 2 after all not a school aged child! Good point she concludes.....then why go into such detail saying she is very unsociable after 1 day! Just ooh twinkle has been a bit quieter than normal today would have been enough!
Ive stewed on it for 2 hours solid, the converstation was a lot longer than above, but she really went on about she was worried about how her social skills would develop hence me asking how long it had been going on why I had always been given good updates if they were concerned...then suddenly it was actually only today, so we will see how she progresses next week.
She suggested toddler groups - there is 1 in the area which dd has outgrown, more aimed at babies. The sure start centre has been closed due to cuts, the nearest one is £6.30 bus ride away - I can afford it maybe once a month, but without underpaying a debt I cant afford it weekly, unless I slash the shopping budget from £60 per month to £40 per month, which I have already tried and it didnt work!
I was so worried when she first started going on, I really freaked myself out, until it came out that actually its only been today, but even now I cant get it out of my head worrying, but surely she wouldnt have approached me if it was just one day, does she have underlying concerns etc.
Il talk to her again tomorrow, said Id like to look at her progress since she started in May, so hopefully itl put my mind at rest.
Im such a worrier though, things like this keep me awake at night.
Anyway now that Ive vented my frustrations, Im off to do a puzzle with twinkle40 to go0 -
feel a lot better today.
Worked hard on shop, got to add lots of products tonight and tomorrow hoping sales pick up before christmas, desperately need it!
NSD, well I had water bill & TV license come out of my bank. I hate paying the tv, its shocking for a couple of programs, Id much rather have the option of opting out of all BBC channels, I only really watch EE & the odd program on bbc3. DD watches cbeebies, but also likes citv or tiny pop so dont really need it! Its almost blackmail, you can only watch itv if you pay to watch bbc programmes even if you dont want to watch bbc. Never understood it.
Twinkle had a brilliant day at nursery, teacher said she has been fine yesterday was obv a one off, first day back from term etc. Twinkle will get her 5 mornings as of Jan, which Im looking forward to :rotfl: I love her to pieces, but I feel so bad, we never have the money to do anything on her days off, at least when she is full time, we can do something on the saturday then chill on the sunday. Plus, I can put more hours in on the shop, hopefully it will take off and Il start earning!
Bit of bad news, my closing phone bill with old company will be more than I can afford - looking back at it the phonecalls are all on the date when I spent hours on the phone to the council after my HB top up never went in. I had to move all dd's so had to call all utilities lots of 0845 numbers which werent included to stop my account going past its limit. Im going to have to cancel the dd and pay them with the few pennies I have left on my CC, otherwise I will go over my dd by £11 and be charged £25 again!:( My payment to this CC is due to go over on the 7th, so Il wait til it hits the account, then make the payment to old tel co. my payment will be £70, of that il reclaim £25 for the bill, interest is 25, so card will be reduced by 25 instead of the normal 50. Not ideal but cant see another way.
cant believe how tight things are for money atm hopefully it wont last too long40 to go0 -
I ended up paying the £70 to my CC early by a few days so I could pay the phone bill.
Tomorrow need to pop to the shops, need apples, potatoes, pasta, cheese. Got £3.50 voucher from tesco so will use that in the little express, so I should just have to top it up with a little bit.
Not much to report today, work was quiet as in no sales, but uploaded more products, views are slowly creeping up so I am starting to be found:T
£65 due out tomorrow for another CC, most of that ie around £45-50 will go on interest:eek: but still its going down...albeit very very slowly.
Should hear back from bank in couple of weeks re loan ins, keeping my fingers crossed. It would really ease the pressure if I got it. Id like to put a lump sum on my elect account so I can put on the heating without worrying when it gets cold, Id like to replace my worn out boots (no more than £30), dd could do with a new pram, but as she will be only in it a year or so, even then its rare eg after swimming, or days out (no car!) Id be happy with a second hand one max £50. The rest I would put towards either overdraft (and close it so I cant spend it, really dont trust myself) or credit card depending on how much etc.
Thats if I get it. If not, the things above can wait, for a month or two, may be able to get more deals in the sales anyway :money:40 to go0 -
lsd £3.33 from my £5 top up budget!
It helped that I had a £3.50 tescos voucher which brought it down. If I didnt have that voucher I would have put back the smarties & raisins as they were non essential, just treats for dd really.
My bos cc dd should have gone out today, but it hasnt....last months went out on the 4th so maybe tomorrow.
When I next do the monthly food shop Il order it for a cheaper time, last time was a spur of the moment order when I was desperate so got it delivered next day was something like £6!
Not much else to report, Ive come down with another cold, Im so grateful for 18p paracetamol right now!! DD as I speak is wiping my nose:rotfl: it doesnt need wiping, but she has just got over a cold, I was wiping her nose 24/7 so think she is paying me back :rotfl:40 to go0 -
Done a huge post earlier, internet reset itself and I lost it all
Spent £1.99 on apples & milk in Lidl.
Im playing with my spreadsheets atm seeing what I can wrangle out of the budget for a day out weekly with twinkle, once I am out of overdraft that is! By day out I mean, swimming or soft play. Its fairly cheap ie £3, but the bus fare is a stupid £6.30 which makes it not doable as often as Id like.
Its 3 miles away, so had the idea that if I could get myself to a decent enough speed to walk it, we could do it weekly easily & it would help me loose weight!
Only bug bear is that its quite hilly here so its a hard walk! Twinkle would be in her pram for most of it....Ive read up that a 3 mile walk should be approx 45 mins, going on the basis of approx 15mins per mile....45 mins isnt bad at all!
I think what I will do is, when I have the bus fare spare, I will attempt to walk it, knowing that if it gets too much I can at least get a bus back (it wont be a lot cheaper, the last time I asked for a single it was 30p cheaper than a return!)
Im hunting the internet for free make up, I cant remember the last time I had to pay for makeup, but first time I have run out of foundation cant find anything! GOt mascara a few months ago, a lovely lipstick the month before. I have got £5 on boots card but the bus fare there will defeat the object of cutting back so not very:money:
anyway thats my ramble for the day off to see if I can save/make money anywhere else!:)40 to go0
