Hi DF,
This is your last week of college until the summer holidays? Wow, that's come round fast again. My commute into work is often a bit easier during these 6 weeks though, so that's something to look forward to.
How are you getting on with the dry shampoo? Is that still going well? I'd never heard of bzz agents, but it sounds very interesting. I love anything that gives out freebies
Making a decision on a pet can't be easy. A guinea pig sounds nice though. Quite easy to look after I assume?
Well done on a successful trip to the dentist too. Isn't that a relief when they tell you all is fine?
I hope you had a good weekend and have a great last week at College before the holidays. Are you allowed to take games in this week?

Thanks Muffin.
Google Bzz Agents, its free & easy to join. I did look for a link to recommend a friend but cant find one.
Yes I think a guinea pig is the way forward atm. Im considering it as a present for Ella's 4th birthday, they are fairly cheap to buy & feed as pets, just the cage etc that is the upfront money, so will keep an eye out for second hand bargains!
Afraid not!! No games! Its a typical salon environment so we will be working on clients all day, then we have an exam just before we leave!
Hope you have had a good weekend

I know I promised myself Id calm down on the job front as theres not much I can do know with regards to restricted hours & advanced childcare fees.
But somehow I cant snap out of it, Im constantly looking for that perfect job. Its my fear that hairdressing doesnt take off as quickly as Id need it to with all the benefit reforms, Id be sanctioned left right and centre.
So my latest newly thought out plan......
Rather than switch straight away from Inc support to tax credits in March when I qualify, I will stay on Inc support, until I am working at clients 16 hours a week. Marketing, trips to wholesalers is classed as work, but Im not going to be marketing 52 weeks a year, so I need to make sure Im working enough hours to make the full switch. Im targetting myself to be up to 16 + hours from August 2013.
DD starts school Sept 2013, and I normally would be switched to JSA in December 2013. My plan is, to either be up to 16 hours by the time September comes along, if I am not, I will focus on getting an employed part time job guaranteed at 16 hours, & still continue hairdressing by the side of that. That way I wont be worried about being sanctioned if I dont earn enough one week.
I am however going to keep an eye out now, as if a perfect job does come up for 16 or more hours, and I have managed to save the childcare deposit I can start knowing that I wont be pushed into any old job next year, and I can take my time really trying to build up my hairdressing.
Realistically, I think Il struggle to raise enough childcare money to start before christmas, but there is always hope, especially if its somewhere that pays weekly/fortnightly.
Im not really fussed what I do, as I know long term hairdressing will be my focus, I just need time to build it up, it just needs to be regular work with childcare friendly hours.40 to go0 -
Hi DF,
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I hope all is going ok with you, although I believe it's half term week?
It sounds like your plan is very well thought out. I hope it all works out well for you. x0 -
