I haven't had a NSD today, I forgot onions and vegetable stock cubes when I went to the supermarket yesterday so have had to get some on my way home.
I went to a food event yesterday and spent £4 on some chilli jam, part of the christmas present for my Dad, and some buffalo burgers for £2.64. I shouldn't have spent anything, my money is running out fast.
Feeling really fed up that I won't get paid till end of November, then I'll have to get all my christmas presents with that wage - moving jobs this close to Christmas was a STUPID idea.
Just planned my meals for this week http://comedinewithrach.blogspot.com/2011/10/meal-planning-monday_24.html I'm dogsitting this weekend for my parents so they'll either leave money for food or get the things I want from supermarket for me!
The lasagne I make on Wednesday should be big enough to freeze two portions, I have plenty of leek and potato soup in the freezer too, might have a freezer week next week!June 2007 Debt: £16,000

But that wage will be a bumper one. Make sure your tax and everything is sorted out by then though."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Hey skintfoodie, just catching up with your diary:wave:
I've just cooked a (very loose) variation on the butternut squash recipe. I had no chickpeas so added leftover chicken thigh. Had no coconut milk so added a spoonful of peanut butter. Twas absolutely delish

Very true, six weeks wages will be very welcome! Fingers crossed the tax will be OK by then!June 2007 Debt: £16,000

Chickpeas and chicken thigh aren't similar to one another despite the names...

Check. Give them a couple of weeks then give them a ring."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I had some good news this evening, I'm getting paid tomorrow. Checked my online banking when I got home and money is lined up ready to go in.
How efficient! I feel bad for doubting them.
I've had a NSD today
very pleased.
I walked from work to the big supermarket yesterday, 35 mins, then walked from there back to my flat, 45 mins, with my shopping. I realised as I was about to trudge up the hill that I'd forgotten the lasange sheets. I could have cried. I decided to make a bolognese of sorts instead, and used Turkey mince - healthier and much cheaper - £1.73 for same amount as the lean pork mince which was £3. I cooked it last night and then reheated it this evening - lovely! I've frozen a massive portion too, to use for lasagne when I do remember to buy the sheets!June 2007 Debt: £16,000

If you're going to do that very often, it may be worth investing in a wally trolley."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
