    Hi All,

Im not aware however that they have to enter the property, they can complete signup on the doorstep, if LLU is available in the exchange then BB will be free and all the details of the products/tariffs are on the contracts which agents carry with them.

    Regards

    Mark

When I was out with the TT reps as part of the job interview, the agent had to phone thru the order to the TT offices & on each occasion, entered the property & used the customers phone for the call.

I think it's pretty clear and obvious that TalkTalk might have rules on how doorstep sales are achieved but the reality of how they're carried out is a very seperate thing.

who could've dreamed that commision hungry (and no doubt relying on commision alone for their salary) salespeople might resort to slight truth bending?!?!?!

Never trust information given by strangers on internet forums

The guy I went out with on that one day made two sales,so got paid iirc £70.At the interview I was told you could make upto £400 a week.
All well & good but as you're effectively self employed, you still have to pay your tax,ni,transport costs ect from that £400.
All it takes is a couple of days of no sales & only 1 or 2 over the next couple days to mess it up.
One of the reasons I turned the job down as the was no financial security.

    Hi All,

If any sales agents are not giving accurate information at the point of sale, attempting to mislead or using questionable practices this can be investgated as Sales Compliance is a serious issue and should be adhered to for all sales.

In regards to field sales representatives we just need the Agent ID number from the identification badge that agents display. Relevant actions can then be taken in regards to the issues raised (such as retraining or disciplinary action as appropriate) once we are able to identify the field agent form this information.

With respect to marketing as "Free" Broadband this isnt accurate. Broadband is an inclusive service (i.e included within the tariff) which requires a phone tariff and line rental to acheive. This again should be confirmed at the point of sale, if not we can take relevant actions as appropriate.

    Hi NeverInDebt,

If agents are purposefully misleading we can investigate as descrbied below. You just need to obtain the agents Field Rep ID so we can take necessary actions.

Not reporting such issues can allow it to go undetected which is highly undesirable. As we would like all sales to be made with the customers fully informed choice and compliant with all necessary regulations any instances where agents have not adhered to this are taken seriously and require addressing. We however do require the Agents Field ID to take the encessary actions specific to that agent.

    Regards

If they HAD ID....The Talk Talk agent that came to my door about a month ago, employed by Skye Marketing, neither identified himself as from Talk Talk nor had any visible ID,I actually asked him after he had entered into his sales spiel if he was from Talk Talk, which he confirmed.

Well your agents need retraining or reporting to the Advertising Standards Authority as they are stating that it is and if that is the case why did you state this
if LLU is available in the exchange then BB will be free

    Hi,

As advised we need the Field Agents ID in order to identify the agent in question so re-traning can be arranged as neccesary.

    To Mark from TalkTalk

Last night a man arrived at my door, wearing no identification, asking if I had seen the leaflet posted through my door. I replied no as we hadn't received anything, he then continued saying we were entitled to free broadband along with the other residents in this area.
This conversation continued into a discussion of broadband speeds and I told him I was with Virgin Media and consistently got over 18.5Mbps for a 20Mbps service, he said these results aren't accurate and are fiddled upward by my service provider and only test between my house and their exchange anyway.

I asked who he worked for he then confessed Talktalk.

I pointed out that as I am a VM customer, TalkTalk would have to install a new cable he said they would do that.
I asked for a copy of the crunched up leaflet he had in his hand he said this was the only one he had at the moment but he would post one through the letterbox when he was leaving the area in about 1/2 hour.
    At that point he left.

This is now the next day still no leaflet.

I'm now so looking forward to that leaflet so I can enjoy my free installation of the TalkTalk cable and I can have my free broadband that I am entitled to as a resident in my area, by the way TalkTalk I don't want any other services you're offering the free ones are plenty !

I do wish he had been wearing his identification so I could have got his Agent number to recommend him to everybody in our area so we all can have free internet as TalkTalk have promised !! :rotfl:
