DLA and going abroad

Could you go away in this country instead? That way you would get the break you say you need, whilst not having to worry about compromising the decision of the DLA appeal and not having the worries of medical costs if you were taken ill whilst away. You could have regular stops/breaks if you felt yourself getting anxious which you wouldn't be able to do on a plane.
yes could do but im not bothered really it looks like people on here are quick to judge somebody who they dont know, i would never do that but then again thats part of my problem i see people who dont like something and have to have an opinion and ignore the point of the question and that is why i have very few friends as people are *****Oldernotwiser wrote: »The doctor may have felt that you are personally safe to travel but will not have made any comment of your medical expenses abroad, your effect on other travellers and the benefit situation. These are the aspects that posters here are concerned about and threatening violence will not change this.
ive not threatened anybody im asking a simple question will it be frowned upon if so i will sit tight and just try and ignore whats happening sink in to a more depressed state.....0 -
Depending on the circumstances of your DLA, it could be frowned upon. I would mention it if you intend to go, if unsure of their policy the best policy is honesty. No law can stop you from going, but your doctor might discourage it.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Considering how belligerent many of your replies have been, it's hardly surprising if I took the following comment to be a threat.
"well i dont haggle for freebies so i dont like accusations and if you were infront of me i would show you how i feel!"

I can't help feel that this is the wrong place for you to ask peoples opinions. All the replies you've had from people have been full of concern for your welfare and given good, sage advice.
I have mild depression (medicated) and high blood pressure (medicated) and having declared these for some time when acquiring travel insurance I've found that although they will give me insurance they will not cover these pre-existing conditions so you may want to consider that if you do decide to go abroad.
I can only tell you what I think but if I had the pressure of a DLA appeal on my mind going abroad would be the last thing I would want to do, particularly given you are concerned it may affect your appeal."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

I had a nervous breakdown in Belgium.
I already was on the edge, and foolishly went on a trip to Europe.0 -

My comment about my mild depression was not to compare myself to you it was to point out that its unlikely any travel insurance would cover you for your existing problems.
My comment about you being in the wrong place is you seem determined to ignore all the good advice you've had and abuse the very same people with threats."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
Oh, I was treated well, and I was covered.
It just wasn't nice being crazy and in a foreign country (although nearly everyone spoke English reasonably well). I was in hospital for about ten days before coming home.0
