2) If I do accept it and they have already received note from the Moneyclaim site what will happen?
1) Yes
2) You can contact Moneyclaim, and tell them you want to stop the claim because the bank has made an offer you are accepting. They will advise you how to do this. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I am not at the stage of claiming yet but could someone please tell me what the charges are for filing a claim online? I have seen the list somewhere before but for the life of me cannot find it now. It's probably somewhere really obvious so excuse the stupid question! We are claiming back £110 - would the fee be £30? Either that or £50 - can't remember.
I am asking because I am about to write the "pay up within 7 days or I will take you to court" letter and was wondering wether to insert the amount of interest and court fees into the letter. Or wait till I really have to claim?
Also, if you are unemployed, what's better: claiming through the county court, thus not having to pay the charge, or paying the fee and receiving it back from the bank later? Can you always get it back? I am asking as a lot of people have talked about the advantages of filing online through moneyclaim (you always see where you stand and it can progress faster).
Thanks for your patience!Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Hi Beate,
I have 2 claims in with MCOL at the moment one for £168 + Interest and one for £300 and I was charged £30 for both of these. I think the higher it gets the more they charge you but for £110 it should only be £30.
I don't think I would enter the "I'm claiming court costs" in the letter. Just stick to the template and if they don't reply, then fill in your claim and claim for interest there.
Hope this helps and good luck!0 -
Thanks! The letter will go out today! I am a bit scared of the claiming part, to be honest! I will probably be back here in a week's time shaking with nerves and asking all kinds of silly questions!Reclaimed thanks to this site:

next questionsssss
i have had my account with them since the year dot and have no idea what i should put, any advice?
should i redo my interest calculation from today or do i just go with what i sent originally to A&L 2 weeks ago?
my original claim was for £663 plus £83.19 interest totalling £749.19 as far as the ongoing interest to judgement goes is this correct? 746.19 x 0.00022 = 0.1641618 (£0.16) per day
many thanks in advance

Redo your interest before you enter it on the claim. It will add a little bit more.
The daily interest is not worked out including the interest. It is your charges only X .00022...............
£663 X .00022 = £0.15 per day.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
