Moneyclaim Online (MCOL) question

The problem with these "evaporating" judgements is that MCOL is just an electronic in-tray for the paper-based court system.
Your application for a judgement is looked at on the following morning and, if there isn't an acknowledgement or a defence in that morning's post, it gets passed through.
Of course, the banks' solicitors have had a lot of practice at getting their timing just right.
And, at the end of the day, the whole system is designed to err on the side of giving everyone their day in court. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

I have started my claim with mcol but so far the bank has not acknowledged (early days yet). I have been reading this thread again and I read some very interesting posts which have me very worried. First of all I used Martins first poc template and it fitted in fine without me deleting anything (yes I entered all my details) but I read on a post that it is wrong!!!!! Apparently the bit at the end where it says ...accruing at the daily rate of 0.021% until judgement or payment.
If this is wrong then why is it on the template? I used this version because I understood it better than the second. Also when I pressed the button for claiming interest I am certain that I didn't have to complete a second paragraph which is supposed to be a paraphrase of the last paragraph of the alternative poc template. It seemed so straightforward at the time but now I'm worried something's wrong? _pale_
Can anyone reassure me? - please -The early bird gets the worm, the second mouse gets the cheese!

Hi
Can anyone please help (apologies if the answer is on here somewhere I am getting a bit mind boggled by all the information).
I am claiming back from the Halifax, and I am at the stage with MCOL where I have just received a confirmation that "judgement was entered against the Defendant on the 31st May".....what happens next????
When I go on the MCOL site now the next option "start warrant"...
Will I receive a letter from the bank advising they are going to pay in full, or will they just put the amount in my account??
Have been trying to claim this back since Jan from Halifax and will be happy just to get to the end of it...DMP No: 293Light bulb moment 1st April 2009Debt free date: 2015 (fingers crossed) :T0 -

They'll do either, some people don't get a letter the money is just deposited in their account, some receive the money first then a letter, just keep checking your account would be my advise

I have only ever used the abbreviated POC's so can't say whether Martin's version fits in the form or not or why you did not get the pop up with the interest paragraph.
Martin says the daily rate of interest is 0.021%.
Rex Mundi advises that "To work out the daily interest. Multiply the amount of your claim (charges only, not including interest) by .00022."
Apart from the 2 instead of the 1 at the end this gives you exactly the same amount as one time you multiply by a percentage and the other by the amount in pence, I just tested it.
You'd have to ask the two of them why their numbers differ by a 1 at the end.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Hi, Not sure if the answer to my question is already on here - have looked but can't find it!!!
I have filed a claim against Lloyds on the 23rd May, which means they have until Monday to acknowledge it, at the moment they haven't.
Please could someone tell me if I can request judgement on Monday or do I wait until Tuesday. Feeling very anxious now!!!0 -

Thanks, trouble is I am discalculate which is like dylexia but with numbers so all these formulas to work out daily rates of interest might just as well be written in chinese! That's why I chose martins poc because it's very simple and gives me more time to work out the interest at 21% whilst my claim can move on. Would it really matter if there was a discrepency between 21% or
.00022p? Can my case be thrown out over this? The early bird gets the worm, the second mouse gets the cheese!

If you've filed on MCOL you should be able to request judgement at midnight on monday, good luck,
