    Hi littleowl

yep - it's a pending - they will take it off the list for you and put it back on if it falls through. You just sit tight and wait to see if you get a SDN !
    Fingers crossed for you!

basically little owl the payment is processing, so it may be declined and Amazon wait for an alternative card, or the buyer has put details in wrongly. So the buyer doesnt loose out on what could be a computer error they send the email you received. Make sure if you are selling that book elsewhere you remove it from sale for the next 3 days, chances are by the time ive written this and hit subit you have received the sold despatch now email !!!

ive just made another sale , 3 in a day is rare for me lately , so i have a theory, i think there is a little man in the amazon office, for the sake of my theory I have named him "fred the fairy", who sits and reads this thread. His life is a little dull so 'buys' our books to spread the cheer and happiness he otherwise is lacking. When fred spots a sad mse'r who hasnt made any sales he grants their wishes with a quick flick of his trusty mouse.

so "fred the fairy" this kiss is for you :kisses3: :iloveyou:

    Thanks for the replies.

However, if the book is pending sale would it still be in my open listings? As far as I can see it has never moved from there - also I still wonder that I have not received any communication from Amazon before the one I posted?

its very easy to do, go to the seller summary page and there should be a section called process a refund for a marketplace order, just pick the relevant order and reasons.

Did the buyer say why ? maybe you can retain the sale by offering a discount via a partial refund, they may have seen elsewhere cheaper is all im thinking. I dont give up on sales without putting up a darn good fight !!

    littleowl,

I think it stays in open, but no-one else can buy it. (never really looked mind you)

The first you hear about it is the email you received, you only get another contact, sold despatch now email, if it sells, if it doesnt sell then you will not be told this BUT it automatically becomes live again.

sorry to tired to make great sense ! you might need to wait for a proper answer ;)

this is all he put " I WISH TO CANCEL THE ORDER. SORRY FOR THE
    INCONVENIENCE."

the book sold for £2,50 there are 2 cheaper copys

one on from usa for £2.41 and one from uk £2.44

so i dont think its the price

Thank you mishkanorman. I am so used to the ebay way of doing things that I find Amazon rather less communucative.
Keeping my fingers crossed that a sale will result - would like to break my duck on Amazon!
